Seems weird that Stagecoach are going to a Sunday service during the week but GNE are going to nearly a full service

Arriva - i'm not sure on most routes, as i don't ever use them, so can't say
Sunderland ADL E400s 19642 and 19644 appear to be getting ready to return to service as they are tracking again on Bus Times after being out of use for over a month.

None of the other mothballed vehicles are tracking yet.
On the Stagecoach web page for the service update , for Sunderland , it mentions service 20D and service 22. The PDF timetables do not mention these. I m wondering if 20D is a duplicate service? I know service 22 was due to replace service 23.

I can only think that they are waiting til 15th June to ramp up to a close to normal timetable, given this is when non-essential retail is allowed to reopen.

I do wonder if Stagecoach will do what GNE have done and change services on their next set of changes, after these ones, hence why it mentions the 22.

Those service changes from May, i would imagine will still go ahead at some point.

All news as above.
All of the Sunderland Depot vehicles that have been relicensed ready for tomorrows frequency increase are now tracking on Bus Times, a few of which already returned to service yesterday.

I bet the engineers have been absolutely flat out over the past week getting the vehicles ready after being out of use for over a month.

Will the service changes, that were meant to take place at the beginning of April, occur when normal service resumes?

No idea, hopefully, as this would be the best time to do them.

24001-3 are still SORN. If the changes are due to take place they may not see use again.

Could be, shame really, they were decent buses, just old, if they're not re-entering service - then changes might end up taking place, when they go to a full weekend timetable.

Will the operation of service X20 and 30 be transferring to South Shields depot on Sunday, or will they still be operated by Sunderland depot?

The 30 and X20 aren't on any of the Sunderland timetables, not sure if its transferring over.
