Total of 8 omnicities at Consett due to low branches opposite Woodlands visitor centre, no dd on X45/X46/X47. A number of B9s have gone to CLS in return.

While 6314 looks to have spent the day on Metro replacement.
3963- 10B
3964- 10
Deptford operated service 265 am trip was 5424 and pm trip was 5478.  Normally allocated a Double Deck vehicle but due to issues with low hanging trees for the last few weeks currently using any full size single deck vehicle.  Yesterday was am 5472 and pm 5438.
Noticed Fab 56 B9 6093 on my namesake last night, the 60.
Point of note, the 60 usually can’t have deckers due to the low bridge at Dawdon. However it seems that the final Drifter 60 of the night terminates at the Byron Place so can be allocated a decker. According to bus times, the final run each night is allocated a fab 56 B9. Is this run typically busy? Or just an extra measure to ensure everyone gets on with socially distancing?

I'd imagine that it'll be either a money or driving hours saving idea. The previous one may do a full trip through, then run back to the depot. It makes sense for an early(ish) finishing 56 to be utilised when terminating at Park Lane anyway instead of having to have an extra bus out to do a short final trip on the 60.

Looking at the timings that seems to make sense, the 56 pulls into Park Lane 4 minutes before that 60 is due out, whereas the Drifter pulls in 6 minutes after the current 60 leaves. Also has the added benefit if it is a particularly busy run on the last bus of the night that nobody will be left behind, as well as getting the buses back to the depot ASAP.
5286-56 While a 56 Branded is on staff shuttles
6131 made a very rare appearance on the X66 today however was later replaced by 5392 - https://www.flickr.com/photos/adammalark...ed-public/
See 3964 did a full day on the X9/X10 yesterday. Surprised that, at 14, it was trusted to be put out all day on there!

There was a 10 branded B9 on there too. Didn't get the id.

At least one is scheduled to be on there at the moment.

6043 & 6044 (fleet livery B9) operating on the 10 in lieu.
I hope nobody waiting for the X10 at Peterlee A19 southbound slip road a few minutes ago, as the Tyne valley x10 bus went along Passfield Way to Old Shotton to join the A19 Southbound

Police advised of an incident/closure on the A19 and buses were diverted from 06:30am this morning. They have just returned to their normal routes.

Since it started, the 39/39A both run hourly on a Sunday (30 mins combined on certain sections)
Absolutely pointless as there’s a 38C operating esdale. Should just be 39s on Sundays

38C is a Nexus service though. If GNE want to take on that part of the route commercially what's the problem with that?

my point being too many buses not required seems silly. Considering go north east actually run it for nexus

Then it's more the 38C that's the problem then the 39A, since it's a funded service "competing" on that small section with a commercial service.
Total waste of taxpayers money when a commercial service is operating
