Good to pop by our Consett depot this evening. Great work by our team here with the move of the Coast and Country 78’s from today. It’s gone really well. Thanks to everyone involved.

----------

Looks like the 8/78 have stopped interworking because of the move.

5402 - 5409 - looks like they've moved to Consett for the 78.
Does anyone know the reason why the 78s have moved to Conestt? Id have thought it would be better being ran from Chester due to it being more central for driver/vehicle changeovers etc

The main reason is to better utilise the engineering resource at Consett - with almost half of the fleet being under warranty, adding more buses which are no longer under warranty helps balance things out. The duties are also more efficient with the 8/78 being split and the 78 being ran from Consett.
According to bustimes.org as its Consett's first day of operation and If bustimes is correct, 6336 is on 78's today. It has just tracked going through Pelton. If that is right how did it manage to get under the 13ft 6 bridge at Pelton? (Unless I've missed something and the bridge is no longer there!)

Ticket machine swap and correct fleet number not imputed.
