Why has 6336 transferred back to Stanley?

It was only on short-term loan to Hexham due to a last minute issue with one of the new vehicles at the launch date.

Consett haven’t received a replacement for 6336 yet, which is why it hasn’t formally transferred, nor 5304 displaced from Hexham, as had been planned. We’ll not use this as an excuse to discuss how Consett need five buses to replace 6118-21 and 6336, though!

That makes sense actually working it out on the current allocations (excl X5/X15):

- X30 = 4x E400MMC
- X47/X70/X71 = 9x E400MMC
- X31/X45/X46 = 11x StreetDeck + 2x E400MMC

So technically, Consett is only short when it comes to spares.
6306 on the X71 yesterday morning - https://www.flickr.com/photos/adammalark...774285@N23

This Saturday morning journey is operated by a Yellow X-Lines X5/X15 Wright Streetdeck rather than the usual allocated Light Greeb X-Lines X45/X46/X47 Wright Streetdeck Micro-Hybrid 3.

The inbound journey departs Consett at 06:02am arriving in Newcastle at 07:00am where it has 5 minutes layover before leaving on the 07:05am back to Consett arriving in at 8am before running onto the 08:05am X15 from Consett to Durham where it remains allocated for the remainder of the day.

Probably changed for the foreseeable with the timetable changes that started this weekend.

Thought that was the case as their was a morning peak journey on the X46 around the same time that was being operated by a Yellow X-Lines Streetdeck up until this weekend but that journey was a E400MMC yesterday morning.
I know this particular case isn’t a regular allocation but Ive always thought that’s an issue of having route information on branding, but not including the service number.
It means someone seeing that would think the x71 calls at Witton Gilbert, Durham etc.

If and when we return to "normality", how would GNE's bike guarantee work on the X70/X71? Would they avoid scheduled odd workings or would they highlight in the timetable?

Is the bike guarantee even a thing outside of what has been printed in timetables? Can't find any further information about it.

Edit: found it, seems to be a new page. Published after I spotted it in the X84/X85 booklet? Haha

GNEs website states -

"ensuring that you don't need to worry about any unexpected matters getting in the way of an enjoyable day out on you bus, with the bus helping to take you to new and further away destinations."

surely that should say "on your bike, with the bus"?
