Rumour has it 5501-5504 are to be Volvo B7RLE / Wright Eclipse 2 369 - 372 from EYMS

My money unless spares is they'll end up on a secondary route such as the 6. Too heavy duty for the 12/12A no doubt. Obviously that would mean the 6 and 12/12A going standalone.

Which depot will these be for. What about 25 or 28s.

Wonder if some will stay within the GNE fleet list. Like full time. The Volvo B7RLE Wright Eclipse 2 would look amazing in GNE 2019 livery or some type of branding. But I doubt it

I believe the Volvo B7RLEs are more permament additions to the fleet, quite likely to be 5501-5504.

Wonder what depot. Wouldn't surprise me. They get put on the 19 at percy main depot

The service that went from branded Omni's, to 54-plate B7RLEs, to Solo's within a few years and, correct me if I'm wrong, was nearly axed in part a year or so ago? Can't see there being a demand for B7s on there.

The 19 currently has Omnicities allocated since 702-704 got sent to Manchester. Not sure on what the Euro rating is for them, so could see some sort of replacement there. It could just be a temporary solution though, until they find more solos. (Wouldn’t be surprised if 672-678 went back to North Tyneside after the citaros are done for the X20.)

Yes, but as you point out that appears to be a temporary solution - think Dan mentioned on Flickr when those Solos went that the Omnis are on the 19 for greater social distancing, and that it once the need for social distancing ends the vehicle size will likely reduce again. 

My point was that a service which has went from being allocated branded vehicles, to end of life B7s, to Solos, is hardly looking promising for a permanent allocation of full size heavy duty single deckers.

B7 single decks would no doubt end up on the 6.

Non-standard additions to the fleet - the previous B7RLE didn't seem to be well liked.
