It seems to be vandalism seems to be a major issues.

57's have been hit, 2 60's have, 1 got fixed then got a rock through the window the day of return, 35's.
Normally its Houghton which is the worst for it.

Seems to be on the rise.
My friend has just told me that a 3rd 60 has been hit in 3 days. I found out that one of them via bustimes got hit twice, second time the day it re-entered service.

Apparently it happens to the 56 aswell
I heard off a friend that 8338 has been hit by a brick/rock and has put a window out near Seaton

Yer it has drove passed it. Multiple 60s have been hit at the Mill Inn recently.
This is becoming a national 'game' posted on social media. On Saturday evening a fast moving Megabus on the M62 was hit, seems targets are chosen and filmed..
65 has been hit at Seaham, I think this might be the third or fourth night it a row at Deptford bus has been hit.

[attachment=10018] The 65 which was hit. It was hit with such force the rock came in one side of the bus and went out the other.

Do buses have really fragile windows?
I've tried smashing car windows before and it's surprisingly difficult. Things just usually bounce

Trains and buses have smashable windows for emergency egress.

Aye, on the daily [emoji1787]

Double glazed house windows are the worst, they can survive a sledge hammer, you have to hit them in the corner to get through them!

Is that not just the reflection on the far side of the bus? It seems a bit far fetched (although I appreciate not impossible) for a rock to go through one window and out the other, when it's presumably been thrown by hand.

Unless Hulk Hogan lives in Seaham these days?

The FB post said it went through and I believe was there so I'd imagine it did go through unless it was hit at the same time.

Granted I did have some scepticism seems as though I'd never seen it, must have had quite a lot of power behind it
No, it's either 2 projectiles, or it's gone through. Can't be a reflection as the hole on the far side is a completely different shape.
2 65 were hit with vandalism today
I wasn't sure where else to put this but I am glad to see that busses are being properly checked before leaving the depot on a morning...

Runs through houghton and Washington so I’m not surprised.?

I had a similar issue on one of the X66 B7s. The front seat on the left kept sliding on and off, nearly crapped myself when i sat on it and went into next week.

I seem to remember this happening all the time with the L94s back when I was at school
Very good friend at Deptford had to turn his 60 around after two windows were put through passing Backhouse Park on Ryhope Road tonight...
5403 currently parked up at the Black Horse in CLS with a smashed emergency exit door window.
This is one of the 2/2A's which had been hit in the  Penshaw area over the past few days.
Disgrace
There was more vandalism near Penshaw again tonight.

The post I shared states that. It's the correct decision in my opinion, given what has been happening.

Hopefully it applies pressure to the authorities to deal with it now.
So the little darlings are out in force again are they
