Sad to see that the B7RLE's are being withdrawn. I believe from seeing from other people they are off to Go North West.
X66 is now Brandless Undecided
Not surprised, seems to be a thing up here lately bringing pointless microfleets and then getting arid of them pretty much straight away. Arriva and it's Omnilinks and Centros which both won't be around long imo and Stagecoach with it's Kinetics and also Omnilinks.

It never made sense them being here when they displaced Merc's and Versa's barely any older (and I got slammed for saying this aswell).
Honestly they were very unreliable aswell. it seemed like every day there was atleast 1 or two off.

A new management team at GNE looking at things differently!

Nah, you've got an East Gateshead Orbit X66 on there today! Smile

It doesn't surprise me to see them go as non-standard in the fleet, but its going to be a task to keep something on big enough, especially for school holidays and Saturdays. The Streetlites a couple years ago were a bit on the small side, compared to what they replaced.

Wonder if they'll just scrap off using Centrelink and just whack a few deckers on instead.

Its no surprise to see them going as such a small fleet. When they first arrived during Covid Deptfords engineers apparently didn't like them (but drivers did).

Whilst I associate the X66 with bendy buses, full size singles would be fine if the frequency was increased at peak times or simply just allocate double decked vehicles on the current frequency.

Also, in days of cost cutting and keeping the accountants happy, I would hazard a guess that the Volvos were considerably more thirsty than the Streetlites before them.

As a passenger I really like them tbh.

They were alright, Great on the Centrelink if you had a decent driver.

As a passenger I hated them. The seats were rock solid and the leg room was awful. Even for a route as short as the x66 they were bad
