Stagecoach have begun a major renumbering exercise with its existing electric vehicles plus the examples due for delivery which have already been allocated fleet numbers. This is reportedly due to a lack of gaps within the present fleet numbering scheme and for the first time, sees the use of 7xxxx numbers.

The new scheme goes as followed:

Inverness-based Yutong E10 30101-25 are renumbered 63101-63125
West Scotland's BYD/E200evMMC 30001-15/33/34 are renumbered 64001-15/33/34
East Midlands' Nottinghamshire County Council-owned BYD/E200evMMC 30017 is renumbered 640017
East Scotland's BYD/E200evMMC 30018-32 are renumbered 64018-32
London's West Ham-based BYD/E200evMMC 29201-5 are renumbered 64201-5
West Scotland's on-delivered Volvo BZL/MCV 31001-25 are renumbered 66001-25 - although only 31002/3 have entered service with their originally allocated numbers

South's Guilford-based BYD/E200evMMC 29101-9 are renumbered 74001-9
East Scotland's Perth-based BYD/E200evMMC 29110-25 are renumbered 74010-25
West Scotland's Volvo 7900Es 29301-6 are renumbered 76001-6

Oxford's new E400EVs will be numbered 80001-55
The BYD/E400EVs are renumbered 84xxx - for example, Perth's 14070 will now be 84070
The Volvo BZL/MCV deckers due for Cambridge will be 86001-30 - originally booked to be 13201-30
The Hydrogen-powered E400FCs for Merseyside (owned by Merseytravel) will be numbered 89001-10 - they were originally booked to be numbered 16001-10
I know its early but any idea what the NE's electric bus fleet numbers are going to be?
I believe some of the 7xxxx numbers were used during the 2012 Olympics and were allocated to Translink (Northern Ireland) vehicles on loan to Stagecoach.
80101-4/6 & 81772-4/6-86 were the Northern Ireland Olympic loans

8xxxx has previously been used just for loan vehicles and demonstrators with main series up to around 80082 noted so far plus 80112-36 and the above mentioned Olympic loans

7xxxx was previously used a while ago for a small number of short-term leased vans

while 6xxxx was used as follows:
60001-14 (Merc Vito taxibus - 14th acquired second hand with Rennies)
61001-10 (Newcastle's Designline Olymbus)
61239-463* (New Routemasters)

*****
to expand on the 7xxxx series - known numbers used as follows, all used by Stagecoach Merseyside:

70005 (YY54MFV) Volkwagen Caddy van - renumbered 91903
70007 (PK54LYA) Vauxhall Astravan - renumbered 91527
70008 (MV05KCZ) Vauxhall Combo van - renumbered 91634
2 more buses not on above list:

Yutong E10 39890 to 63000, plus 30016 (fire damaged sister to 30017) should be 64016 on paper
Additional orders: more Volvo BZL/MCV 66026-44, Switch Metrocity EV 67001-12, Wrightbus Electroliner 82001-48

Ah, not surprised, thank you
Arguably, the New Routemasters in London should be renumbered too from 61xxx to eg 81xxx since 6xxxx is now for midibuses
East Scotland's autonomous E200MMC 26326-30 have been renumbered 62001-5
