Most welcome news today is the news that the NYMNP Moorsbus is to re-commence its operation later in the year with limited funding being sourced and Arriva awarded the contact. As with my X93 thread I'm keen to hear peoples thought and comments about this particular with a view to whether it should be operated as a tourist service where it would be possible to charge fares to go towards future ffunding and development. Thanks
Like service X93, I haven't used any of the Moorsbus services either. As Explorer tickets are not valid on these services, it is unlikely that I ever will.

The trouble with operating buses for the sake of tourists is that bus operators tend to charge 'tourist' prices. If operators are going to ostensibly overcharge tourists then where does that leave the people who actually need the service for regular travel? Some sort of concessionary system could be put in place thereby giving communities along the route access to cheaper fares, but how much would that cost to administer (and would it be worth the hassle)?
Axed Moorsbus is set to return thanks to volunteers.
