I think these are definitely just gonna be bus stop changes in the Town Centre, the 2, 4, 5/5a and 7 are suppose to be changing too.

RE: Arriva North East - Latest - VolvoMarkII - 25 Mar 2014

(23 Mar 2014, 4:45 pm)VolvoMarkII wrote Timetable amendments only so I'm told. The Bus Registration website lists the "change type" incorrectly very often, so the alleged timetable and route amendments may not be correct.

Apparently there are also amends to the 11, 12 and 21 from the same date.

Today's bizarre news story is the repaint of reserve mini Dart 1711.... Don't ask me why but Jesmond have done it. Also appears they've painted the doors and window surrounds black like a Pulsar...!

Oh dear, what a waste of paint. Is it even used much at Stockton?

It's at Redcar but has been out of use for the last month or so.

What's the March change to the 7 and 17 - reverting to the Riverside road for 7s and 17As?

RE: Arriva North East - Latest - tyresmoke - 26 Mar 2014

Yeah will be, we routed via the Riverside for two weeks then notices went up on Monday saying we had to go back to using the High St, then notices again this morning saying TC had given us the go ahead to use Riverside so back to using that....

Are they registered as alternative routes now then or do they have to go via Riverside?

Not sure officially but I would imagine an alternative route rather than a permanent diversion. Its in the interests of reliability so they don't have to go both ways up the High St. The temporary lights at Maxwells Corner take at least 4 minutes to get through both ways, never mind the rest of it...

1923 is out, it left Middlesbrough on Service 28 around 20 minutes ago.

That's a 9 board, must have been a changeover then, as it certainly wasn't allocated this morning. Pulsar 1460 ended up on 28's whereas I had it on X1 this morning, replaced by 1491 on the X1.

RE: Arriva North East - Latest - robisdave - 26 Mar 2014

Reliabily informed that 1711 will now return to Redcar-Dormanstown and is to be allocated to the X93 boards.

Yeah - I can't see them paying money to fit it with a tachograph when all V-reg and W-reg MPDs have to be gone before the end of the year but it's your fantasy

On the subject of the X93, the B7TL trial has officially begun today with one of the pair (likely to be 7485) spotted this afternoon on the service.

RE: Arriva North East - Latest - robisdave - 26 Mar 2014

Being serious - couldn't resist the 1711 thing - I'm hoping the latest trial works and be interesting to see the new peak season timetable. Until then.

Sure was 7485...
7487 is under prep at Blyth but unsure where it will be allocated yet.

RE: Arriva North East - Latest - robisdave - 27 Mar 2014

It's looking as though.the decision to route the X4/4 through to Whitby is going to prove to be a wise move? Was on a trip, only from Redcar mind, y'day and it was packed! Only downside was it was operating a15 mins late and, whilst I've not looked (closely) at the timings, hope those concerned haven't been that mean with the running times.

Haha. Wouldn't be surprised. More comfortable than 1757 anyway.

A link to an ANE survey regarding recent changes to services in the East Cleveland area has been put online.

Nice to see a company wanting to know what customers think, rather than deciding on behalf of customers.

Isn't that what Go North East call a 'customer consultation' carried out before each set of major network changes?

(27 Mar 2014, 1:57 pm)Dan wrote Isn't that what Go North East call a 'customer consultation' carried out before each set of major network changes?

The Teesside and East Cleveland Changes were consulted on last year in regards to the changes (but not how Go North East did it, rather than 'these are our plans' more 'where do you most travel/routes you mainly use') and this is a 'what do you think of what we did/how can we improve the services further' one, ahead of the next planned change on Sunday 20th July (the day the 'Sapphire' upgrade comes into effect on the 5/5a, X3/X3a and X4/4, although as I understand it not the date the Streetlites enter service)

Are the 5/5a, X3/X3a and X4/4 getting Streetlite Max or Pulsars?

Because that's a lot better, isn't it? I think as a passenger I would prefer to have the same knowledge as the company - at least with Go North East I know what they have planned and I know that if the majority of people think it's a good idea, the changes outlined in the leaflet will go ahead...
How do I know what the changes are if I just outline the regularities of my travel arrangements on services which are proposed to change?

Streetlite Max. Only depot getting Pulsars (the last examples) is Jesmond for the 306.

So Arriva excels itself again. Launches the Sapphire services before the buses are ready! (And even knowing 4 months beforehand they're not going to be ready!!)

RE: Arriva North East - Rare and Odd Workings - robisdave - 27 Mar 2014

So given that the Sapphire upgrade for services 5/5a etc is scheduled for 20th July how's this gonna work when we don't have the new fleets?
