Also, the fact that red kites aren't actually red does bother me somewhat RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2019 - GuyParkRoyal - 20 Sep 2019 (18 Sep 2019, 7:35 am)streetdeckfan wrote Is 6305 away getting repainted? 6305 was collected from repaint at 13:00 this afternoon. I mean, that small, inconsequential fact could make a slight difference to our speculation... In other news, apparently 6303 had issues starting at Eldon Square, causing it to run late and get swapped for 3941 at Chester Le Street RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2019 - JP6004 - 20 Sep 2019 (20 Sep 2019, 3:20 pm)Dan wrote Worth mentioning at this point that the new interworking cycle is X31/45/46 and X47/70/71? So X47/70/71 black with X31/45/46 green? RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2019 - streetdeckfan - 20 Sep 2019 (20 Sep 2019, 4:20 pm)JP6004 wrote That would make sense, but then the numbering wouldn't be consistent with the branding RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2019 - S813 FVK - 20 Sep 2019 I'd hope the whole lot were the same colour, though that might be looking bleak. RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2019 - Michael - 20 Sep 2019 (20 Sep 2019, 4:30 pm)S813 FVK wrote Same, it would make sense for them all to be black. RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2019 - Stanleyone - 20 Sep 2019 Add in the 3 for the X5/X15. On a separate note, if by the current workings the 826 am and 823 pm will work on to and off the X30. Upgrade on the current East Yorkshire DD that’s on those at the moment RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2019 - streetdeckfan - 20 Sep 2019 I've just noticed that the white stripe on the X30 is cut off by the wheel arch, is that the final design because now that I've noticed it, it looks awful RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2019 - JP6004 - 20 Sep 2019 (20 Sep 2019, 8:18 pm)streetdeckfan wrote I've just noticed that the white stripe on the X30 is cut off by the wheel arch, is that the final design because now that I've noticed it, it looks awful Doesn't look that bad. On another note 6115 has returned, presumably with 6100 going other way RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2019 - streetdeckfan - 20 Sep 2019 (20 Sep 2019, 9:37 pm)JP6004 wrote It looks like they've just copied and pasted the design from another bus, without taking into account the different height so the white line gets pushed down, it also makes the length of the green at the top disproportionately long IMO, so what I would have done is push the lines further back which I think balances it out a bit more
Another thing, can we please have some clarification on the official branding for X-lines Is it 'X-lines' or 'X lines' because the website has it hyphenated, but all the timetables have it without the hyphen, plus the logo makes it look like it's all one word! RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2019 - Stanleyone - 21 Sep 2019 (20 Sep 2019, 10:20 pm)streetdeckfan wrote How many of those who will be travelling on the X30/X31 will really be worried about the white stripe running into the wheel arch, or the fact it’s X-lines or X lines? Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2019 - Rob44 - 21 Sep 2019 i noticed last night that GNE social media was advising customers for the 56 to head to gateshead to start their journey due to traffic problems. My question is if i'm in Newcastle and was planning on buying a single to say Washington would i be expected to pay £1.60 to gateshead then the full fare to Washington or would the drivers let me on in Newcastle and drop me off at gateshead? Think the ID rule should only count if people look 18+ Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2019 - Jimmi - 21 Sep 2019 Got a quary regarding the X21 route, I'm in Bishop now and had the intention of catching it towards Durham/Newcastle from where Morrisons is but been left confused as looked on Google Maps suggests the route (Newcastle bound) stops at the Rail Station bus stop (as does BusTimes and timetables on bus stop) but GNE app and the reality is that it still goes up Newgate Street, so which is it?! I've always just walked to to the stop at the Medical centre to be on the safe side. You might as well completely disgregard the GNE app in Bishop, half the stops are missing or say the bus doesn't stop there when it actually does. I've been reporting that issue since May RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2019 - Jimmi - 21 Sep 2019 (21 Sep 2019, 2:40 pm)streetdeckfan wrote It stops at both the stop where the steps down to the train station are , and the stop outside the medical centreI Should have been more clear, I meant the Rail Station stop on Bob Hardlsty Drive, attached is the route Google, Traveline etc suggests the route is whilst I have marked in green the route GNE actually observe RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2019 - streetdeckfan - 21 Sep 2019 (21 Sep 2019, 2:48 pm)Jimmi wrote I Should have been more clear, I meant the Rail Station stop on Bob Hardlsty Drive, attached is the route Google, Traveline etc suggests the route is whilst I have marked in green the route GNE actually observeWell, that green route is and always has been actual route, and Google Maps used to show that as the route, I wonder if they're changing it, or whether it's just is mistake I honestly would prefer it to go the way Google maps says, it takes ages to get through the lights when it's busy RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2019 - Jimmi - 21 Sep 2019 (21 Sep 2019, 2:53 pm)streetdeckfan wrote Well, that green route is the actual route, and Google Maps used to show that as the route, I wonder if they're changing it, or whether it's just is mistakeLikely an error has been made somewhere when the timetable changed the other week To confuse me even more just seen 6333 pass Howlands Park & Ride (so doing the evening route) towards Bishop, no clue if this was done in error or if it was to avoid Nevilles Cross due to a police incident earlier, GNE posted the service was delayed by up to 30 minutes and terminating at Gateshead in some cases but said nothing about diverting away from there... |
