Go North East appeared to only be using their own buses for the South Park and Ride.

Go north east operated the north park and ride over the busiest days on the weekend saturday and sunday. Then subd it to srriva for friday and monday who subd to jh coaches and garnetts

Definitely not the one they had as it was on the K2 the other day. Plus you can see in the windows of it.

Hi,

Just seen and sampled the new Optare Solo SR it is KX14 FHZ which is ex Malta (appears to be ex-BUS 344), it's equipped with two air-con units from its days on Malta. It's currently operating on the 333. Does anyone know it's been purchased or if it's a short term loan?

Been on that in Malta in 2013!!!

It was used on route 130 in Malta's capital Valletta doing journeys to and from the Waterfront

According to the VIN plate on KX14 FHZ the bus was built in March 2014 so I would assume your 2013 journey was on a different vehicle.

RE: Phoenix Coaches - Rapidsnap - 10 Sep 2016

Malta has a tendency to re-use registrations

The Hurst family who are the controlling shareholder in Phoenix have recently bought control of Pratts Taxis of Durham. Pratts used to have their own psv operators licence.

RE: Phoenix Coaches - Tom - 24 Jan 2017

Phoenix have lost the following services from the 19th March - W1, W1A, W3, M71, 333 and 335

W1, W1A and 333 have been contracted to Go North East, and W3 to Gateshead Central Taxis as discussed in other threads, but not sure about the other two. Seem to be keeping the K1/K2, W2, 59/359 and 84/84A and that's it.

Just how long the current contracts ran for, presumably other operators put in more attractive bids to run the contracts for the services this time round resulting in Phoenix losing the services.

They still have school contracts so the deckers are very unlikely to go.
