Lombaerts travels to Wearside after Sunderland agree deal with Zenit - NICOLAS LOMBAERTS has travelled to Wearside to complete personal talks after Sunderland agreed a fee of around £5m for the Belgium international.
Zenit St Petersburg finally accepted the Black Cats’ offer for the centre-half on Monday, and Lombaerts was given formal permission to travel to the North-East. - http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/13418530.display/

Not sure how much of this is true but i did hear we have a deal close to be completed... he should fly straight out to the USA, if he signs.

Creative Midfielder and another Striker are next on the agenda for us according to Twitter, think we should make a move for Charlie Austin from QPR although it looks like he will be joining scum.

Hope we get the players we need and no panic buys/loans, Austin would be a decent signing but like you said looks to be off to Newcastle.

It appears that the Gateshead v Darlington game has rustled up quite a bit of interest, so I'll spread some Gateshead team news...

Malcolm Crosby has a fully fit squad, with James Marwood expected to be back in the line up. Trialists River Allan and Jordan Cranston are expected to start.
