Not too sure to be honest, I always thought the bus shelters were built and maintained by Clearchannel in return for them gaining the advertising revenue but I could be very wrong there. Be interesting to see if Sunderland is impacted mind as I believe the Bee Bus stops are the same design. I'm not aware of any of them in Gateshead, North Tyneside or South Tyneside though.
