Basically all NT services, within NT - except those which have competition[Image: arrow-10x10.png], where it extends a little further.

Not bad, but they'll have to reduce the singles[Image: arrow-10x10.png] on some of the services as they are more than a single itself (£4.10)

And also that's an increase on the Coaster/Cobalt Clipper!

and the 58. Mentioned the increases earlier.

The justification/reasoning may be that it is valid on more services.
No good, if you only use one service

Exactly, 15p is a canny bit too!

Arriva's offering is £4.20 for T&W, and £5.80 for T&W + Northumberland. It just depends on where you are travelling for which is cheaper.

Arrivas singles are generally a lot cheaper than GNE's though.

15p or 4% increase. Excellent if you float about North Tyneside. A canny increase if only using one service.

The weekly tickets were staying the same though. No increase on those.

Yeah I wonder how many people will switch to Arriva as now two singles will be 30p cheaper on Arriva than the return with GNE on the Coast Road stretch (Battle Hill, Station Road etc.)

Would rather pay the extra 30p and have a mostly reliable and well equipped service than wait around like a Metrognome for the 308 to turn up 20 minutes late and get packed in true Blyth depot fashion and take ages to get home.

Hey, you're right, that's not bad at all.

According to this inflation calculator, which has been used on many occasions on this forum in the past, £3.00 in 2006 is worth £4.00 now, yet this new DaySaver costs £3.90!

Arriva's single fares may be cheaper, but I'd suggest most customers opt for day/weekly tickets...

According to G-CPTN above, Go North East's offering on this new ticket is £3.90 and £13.00 respectively, whereas Arriva's Blyth + Tyne & Wear Triple ticket costs £5.80 and £22.60 respectively.

AND, GNE didn't allow it to be used on the 308 or between March and July 2007, the 309 between Blyth and Whitley Bay.

Arrivas Day Return could well be less than £3.90 though?

I would say Newcastle is busier on a Saturday than a weekday. Somewhere like Consett and Chester-le-Street are different as they aren't major places and only really ever attract people when there are markets on.

I've had a read about the GKN hybrid technology and in simple terms, the B9s will basically become a double deck version of a Streetlite with a big Volvo engine. Far better than a conventional hybrid or parallel system.

Forgot to mention I won a Days Free Travel on the Red Kite Scratchcard.

And Mr Graham you will be glad to hear my opinion on the Micro Hybrid Streetlites has changed after a Journey on 5398 from Consett to Stanley, come to think of it was this not the same Vehicle in which I complained about in my previous post regarding these Vehicles last week, anyway 5398 went like the clappers from Consett to Stanley and it was a very enjoyable journey indeed.

Saw 6009 on the 15A but the rear destination LED screen was showing service 15.

Currently on Angel 6060 and the Go North East WiFi network is not showing up in the list of available WiFi networks on my mobile.

Looks like the Red Kite, Streelites are due to hit the road soon as they are starting to line up in Stanley Depot.

RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - May 2015 - GuyParkRoyal - 14 May 2015

The next stop announcement screen on the X40 Versa's could do with an update. I was on 8329 yesterday and the screen in the centre of the bus was showing Simplicity. I know a brand update is due for the X40 but in the mean time a simplygo screen or even a blank screen would look better than promoting the wrong brand for the route.

The new 39 timetable is now branded... which means the 33 will branded the same, due to the inter working?

I think it looks good, least its the correct colours this time! Tongue

Would imagine the full allocation will become Cadet now.

RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - May 2015 - LeeCalder - 14 May 2015

It looks quite nice actually and I think it will work well on a Cadet.

I would personally like the 82/82A/85/86 routes to be branded again, BUT that is pretty much impossible if they use anything they can on it

I was thinking the Cadets would be moved on soon. At least from front line duties.
If they're 10/11 years old now, how long will they have left?

Maybe not?
