Not a fan of new website. Don't like how the variations of a route 12/12A are split and you don't have the branded routes to quickly select from. Also what's the point of the route info as that's displayed anyway on the list of services. Saying that I am accessing from mobile. Like the fare calculator though. RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - August 2016 - V514DFT - 24 Aug 2016 At also says the 11A goes to whitley bay, which im sure it doesnt RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - August 2016 - Andreos1 - 24 Aug 2016 (24 Aug 2016, 11:52 am)JP6004 wrote Not a fan of new website. Picking up on your points about route variations - the X20 follows more of the 20A route than the 20 and its runs replace the 20A during peaks. However on the site, the X20 is placed alongside the 20. The 20A has a section of its own. RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - August 2016 - G-CPTN - 24 Aug 2016 Checks brought in to stop bus pass misuse. Where a pass is not valid the pass may be confiscated by the driver.I would question the legality of a bus company confiscating a pass issued by a local authority. I'm sure the body wouldn't want those invalid passes in use. I'm not a fan of this new website neither ![]() content doesn't open up new windows so you cant go back and forth I clicked on the X7 timetable etc.. and clicked onto fare info, had to put in the words Sunderland, peterlee and adult to get the fare info which no help as it states single fare is £3.95 and adult return is £5.50, nothing on there states that you can get a day ticket of £4.65 with an Indigo east durham saver between those points and you can use the same day ticket on other indigo east durham bus services and the whole route of service X35 and also X7 between Sunderland and station town. Shouldn't GNE insert the faretable (of what there use) for the service number for fare information and the passenger can easily work out what the price would be? RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - August 2016 - Adrian - 24 Aug 2016 The 'Journey Planner' tool on the new website is a lot better than previous, although I'm not sure it should be telling customers to use the competition instead... It presents a problem for customers too. Because the only multi-operator ticket valid for that journey would be an Explorer. So customers asking for a 'Day Ticket' (as they do!), will most likely end up with an Arriva Day ticket. Content opening in new windows presents difficulties for blind users, so it's not as common these days. Not to mention the amount of people using aggressive popup blockers. RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - August 2016 - cbma06 - 24 Aug 2016 no fare information for service 208, but for service 265 from seaham to Durham, it states £4.80 single or £5.90 for a return, but should state that you can get a route saver day ticket priced at £4.65. I do agree with that mind. All ticketing options should be displayed, to allow the passenger an informed choice. I appreciate that the section is for 'single and return' fares at present, but hopefully it can be developed in the future to contain other options. You're sounding like me! ![]() I agree that the different ticket options (and prices) should be provided on the price or if that isn't possible, some sort of detail that provides a link to those tickets. Ditto child options. I can see one major problem with that. The amount of ticket options that are available.
