Looks like it is being sanded down for a repaint. No sign of 5284 today either but then again, quite a few Diamond Mercs are off the road but we won't go into why. I often feel that the tension rises when we have to go through all of this stuff.

Minor accident damage - but tidying most of the bodywork up.

Side note: deleting any 'duplicate post' comments, they posted it at more or less the same time.

In addition, the screen upstairs seems to be indented about 2 inches in from the left, cropping the right hand side. I've noticed this on a few now mind.

I checked the audio on 6061 this morning, volume reset.

Hanover informed about the screens.

Highly doubt the Citaros will be going on the highwayman. Just a Diamond brand refresh is what im thinking.

I think we'll see the Citaro's move on to the 97 later in the year when changes occur, as i think the Highwayman changes will go ahead...also think well see a completely new brand for the 97... with rest of the services being "Go North East".

Any spare Citaro's to other depots.

You did but yesterday you said something completely different which was that you think that they will go onto the Highwayman:

http://northeastbuses.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?tid=1557&pid=122073#pid122073

Using that post alone, it is quite clear that you are hinting that again by referencing the colour green.

Just been told that an Arriva decker was seen in Blaydon today sporting "On hire to GNE"  anyone any idea on what it might be

Hopefully this green Citaro will end replacing the God-awful B7TLs on the Angel.... Wink

Not until Sunday, when we'll miss our two hourly wake up by something sounding like a knackered tractor thundering over the speed bumps outside

Gosh, we're going back a bit here.

I don't as I think I only did two SPD journeys that I remember with one of them being a short Fram - Durham hop on the 50 and the other being Durham - Sunderland on the 20A. From what I remember they were pretty bad.

Must say though I do sort of miss Arriva's Plaxton Pointer Darts (excluding the X reg examples - sheds!).

The service changes at the end of October would be a good time to refresh the Highwayman brand.
