Its technically un-road worthy as its speed gauge isn't working. It can mainly be seen out on the St Robert's (Washingon) school run but has been known to appear on a few school services over in Blaydon and Ryton areas. for the past week its doing the 812 for st wilfrids college RE: Ex Go North East Buses living on with other Firms - Terence Price - 05 Dec 2013 2 Ex Go North East Darts that was in Service with Impera on the Wirral before they ceased trading was noted outside a Bingo Hall in Liverpool Last night, no company logos or anything so impossible to ID the company but reg plates are: S364 ONL S374 ONL 364 Has LED's fitted and work however 374 has no Destination Displays fitted at all. Isle Coaches who operate in the Doncaster area, have at least one of the Lxxx KEF b10's on local runs. Looked/sounded in good nick. Not sure if anyone fancies digging to see which one it was or if they have morw than one do they? Edit. On digging about, it appears they have a Lxxx HEF Alexander Strider. Will blame the muck, rather than my shitty eyes. RE: Ex Go North East Buses living on with other Firms - tyresmoke - 06 Dec 2013 Let's not forget Solo T469BCN, still going strong with Scarlet Band, seen here earlier today on the Spennymoor based circuit (service 110/111/112), on service 111 to Willington: RE: Ex Go North East Buses living on with other Firms - Terence Price - 05 Jan 2014 Found another Ex Go North East Bus, This time its an SPD Current reg S80 BUS but used to be reged S369 ONL, Heres a photo of it with its current firm, peoplesbus http://www.flickr.com/photos/arrivanorthwestwaleswrexhamdepotfleet/9402529960/in/photostream/ RE: Ex Go North East Buses living on with other Firms - Dan - 05 Jan 2014 On a 2 week trial with the lemon from Ensignbus is this former Go North East Mini Dennis Dart. It will work the 52 route with the view to replace the existing 'Super Darts' 224 & 228 which have suffered a lot with reliability. NK51 MKE is seen here this morning having just been collected from the Ensignbus yard. See photo here. RE: Ex Go North East Buses living on with other Firms - gtom - 12 Jan 2014 MPDs 502 & 503 have been acquired by Archway Travel (Poulton) for use on service 80 in the Blackpool area. Wonder why the one on right is blinded as the 21 Newcastle? Was that it's last ever journey, strange allocation if so. Commentors on those photos seem happy that these pieces of scrap metal on wheels have arrived...bless RE: Ex Go North East Buses living on with other Firms - Andreos1 - 13 Jan 2014 (12 Jan 2014, 11:59 pm)CatsFast101 wrote Wonder why the one on right is blinded as the 21 Newcastle? Though didn't these start life on the 21 group? I'd imagine this is what happened, yes. That's assuming the new owners haven't been playing around with the destination blind (see news - The Big Lemon have done just that). They finished their lives on Lumiere PR5. So the LED blinds were removed, why was that? Have the LED ones been used on other vehicles? Have the LED ones been used on other vehicles? Keep them as spares. LEDs are obviously more expensive than flipdots, so if a coloured LED or normal LED has issues, it can be replaced immediately. They'll have a load of spare flipdots from the likes of SPDs etc. You'll find there's a good few ex-GNE buses which are sent to scrap which actually retain the flipdots too. Assume they must have that many now (from removing in the past), they needn't bother with removing them. RE: Ex Go North East Buses living on with other Firms - gtom - 13 Jan 2014 I still prefer roller blinds to flip dot or LED. #vintage RE: Ex Go North East Buses living on with other Firms - Acky81 - 13 Jan 2014 Any pics of 502 and 503 at their new homes RE: Ex Go North East Buses living on with other Firms - BJ10VUS - 13 Jan 2014 (13 Jan 2014, 11:14 am)gtomlinson wrote Working fine for me Terence, was Flickr not just having one of its regular hissy fits I've changed the Flickr link, so it should be working now? I saw 3895 Lucy not that long ago in Lincoln on scholars work and it was still in good nick. Better than the Tridents left behind anyway. Never understood the reason the handful of Presidents were sent to Oxford. Have a feeling there were outside factors playing a part as to why they were sent and not others RE: Ex Go North East Buses living on with other Firms - Kuyoyo - 15 Jan 2014 (15 Jan 2014, 9:17 pm)Ely1992 wrote Looking through those photos i noticed President 3895, why was this bus sold and when! and were there any more of the same type let go by GNE. 3881-4/92-5 were transferred to Oxford Bus Company during 2007 (apart from 3883 which moved in late 2006) as they were surplus to requirements at the time. 3883 is one of the vehicles destroyed in the arson attack at Western Greyhound's depot back in the summer. |
