They'll probably get done as soon as possible.

It was a daft question tbh haha

Hopefully soon, i hope the new brand, if different, is better than the current one.

(31 Jan 2016, 1:22 am)Diamond One wrote actually it does the nickname for the club is black cats and on the livery it references Cats which it references Fast Cats means ready for battle to win games and the livery is black so technically its Black (base livery) cats (name of the club) Fast (speed and determined to win)

Heres a history lesson for ya:

In the olden days way way back, before when boats were built with metal, there used to be wooden ships that used to arrive at Hartlepool coming from overseas from asia etc..., and when there used to dock and offload there cargo there used to be loads of rats that used to run off the wooden boats, and the rats were a quite a big size (same size as normal cats) and the seaman tried to wack them with big sticks but there couldn't catch them all, so this is why there nicknamed "Fast Cats". The late peter huntely was the one who named that route as Hartlepool was his boyhood town. if you look at the side of the fast cats bus then you noticed that there are pictures of cats and not safc players running.

Also when the mpds were painted in the light colour yellow and branded black cats for service 26/36, the black cats brand has no association with SAFC, but it is associated with Sunderland from the war, there used to be and there still some pillar boxes made of concrete on the hillsides in the sunderland region and the men who manned them were nicknamed the "Black cats".

The destination programs must be different on 9106 to all the other GNE buses. the font all looks different and theres no via points. Hows this Dan?

I believe the blind in 9106 is a Mobitec, as opposed to a Hanover.

R852 PRG is correct.

The vehicle is owned by Optare - it is their own demonstration vehicle (despite claims that the bus is owned by Dawson Rentals). Optare were happy to programme the destinations on our behalf, as it's not fitted with our standard Hanover displays. As it's only intended to be used until March, there was no real necessity for us to request via points, when a terminal point will do the job!

Most demonstration and dealer-stock vehicles are fitted with Mobitec displays, as they are cheaper than the Hanover equivalent.

Well I'm glad it's here until March, gives me a chance to go and get photos of it. Haven't had much of a chance lately with work commitments.

(31 Jan 2016, 9:02 am)Dan wrote 8270 replaced another vehicle on service 4 at Concord around 10:35, and had a trip to Houghton and back before being replaced itself.

It was then allocated to service X88 for the 12:49 X88 service from Concord, and return journey, before going back to the depot. It was then allocated to service X88 again on the 14:49 X88 service from Concord, and, as you say, did not operate the return journey.

8270 parked in vor line at Riverside today.

561, 4841, 5158 & 8255 are being robbed for parts at Riverside.

561 was moved to Riverside from Hexham, under its own power, on Tuesday.

Not very safe for 561 to be moved using it's own power with the way it looks.

Certainly wouldn't have been driven in the state it was in on the image used for its withdrawl article on here.
