RE: Go North East - Latest - Michael - 27 Nov 2013 (27 Nov 2013, 6:56 pm)Tom wrote All of the ''Pronto'' presidents will be spread out between all depots, to replace ''Yellow Bus'' Olympians. Percy Main will loose theirs due to the Cobolt deckers, maybe. Really the only Depot which will have Olmpican's will be stanley, i think RE: Go North East - Latest - Tom - 27 Nov 2013 (27 Nov 2013, 6:56 pm)Tom wrote All of the ''Pronto'' presidents will be spread out between all depots, to replace ''Yellow Bus'' Olympians. More than likely 6021/24/34/35 to Gateshead to replace 3811/19/20/27 then 6037/38/40/41 to Stanley to replace 3813/14/21/22, then 3803/3859 can replace 3815/16 at Percy Main with the arrival of two Northern Geminis. Not forgetting crook also have 6038 for use on the spennymoor to fram college duplicate, which i'm led to believe will remain at crook. Crook will probably get a scania from deptford as a spare single deck. RE: Go North East - Latest - dag30590 - 27 Nov 2013 Hi all, Really looking forward to the new Solos on the Venture around Consett. Anyone know when they're going to be out and about? Least we know where the Cobolt Omni's/Citaro's are going and the FAB 56 Scania's will be spread across the fleet to replace the reamining SPD's along with the Scania's from the Whey aye five-0. I was hoping to get Omnicity's at Deptford =( RE: Go North East - Latest - Michael - 27 Nov 2013 (27 Nov 2013, 7:49 pm)Dan wrote I believe there are four operational Consett boards on Sundays, which includes the 15. RE: Go North East - Latest - speedwheels22 - 27 Nov 2013 When will the omnicitys be on the 50 RE: Go North East - Latest - Michael - 27 Nov 2013 (27 Nov 2013, 8:26 pm)speedwheels22 wrote When will the omnicitys be on the 50 Once the decker's are in service on the 309/310, not sure when that will be as it looks like the FAB 56 decker's will be arriving first... maybe January? RE: Go North East - Latest - BJ10VUS - 27 Nov 2013 Of the 'V' services, only the V1 and V8 run on Sunday. Is the 15 operated by Consett on Sundays using venture MPD's? As its Stanley during the week. RE: Go North East - Latest - BJ10VUS - 27 Nov 2013 Only one bus is required though - it runs about every hour and 10 minutes. RE: Go North East - Latest - Dan - 27 Nov 2013 (27 Nov 2013, 9:34 pm)BJ10VUS wrote Only one bus is required though - it runs about every hour and 10 minutes. And the interworking V1/V8s have a PVR of 3, totalling up to a PVR of 4 on Sundays. RE: Go North East - Latest - speedwheels22 - 27 Nov 2013 I think the 26 should go back to its old route threw hedworth maybe via hebburn college pelaw metro heworth non stop to eldon square RE: Go North East - Latest - Rapidsnap - 27 Nov 2013 I wouldn't be too sure on Gateshead getting rid of all their Volvo Olympians. They have a contract for a Jewish School that stipulates that the buses mustn't carry no adverts (inside & outside) whatsoever. And currently they've got 2 Volvo Olympians for this duty. I know 3827 is one of them. I cannot remember the other one. I know 3827 is one of them. I cannot remember the other one. If memory serves, the one I photographed on that scholar when it was first starting operation was 3820. Who's to say that GNE will even have that contract in two months time, however? Scholars are known to change quite often. It could be a three month contract for all we know. RE: Go North East - Latest - tyresmoke - 27 Nov 2013 (27 Nov 2013, 10:38 pm)Dan wrote If memory serves, the one I photographed on that scholar when it was first starting operation was 3820. Formerly operated by Caris Coaches who have had it for about 2 years? It's not a Nexus contract... RE: Go North East - Latest - Rapidsnap - 27 Nov 2013 It's a private contract seperate to the Nexus Scholar services. They've got it until at least the summer. Also it be the only service operating on New Years Day as the Jewish School is open that day. RE: Go North East - Latest - Dan - 27 Nov 2013 Still reluctant to believe that Gateshead will retain two Olympians for this contract. Would it not be more appropriate to remove advertisements from the Presidents, which are to take a back seat role (scholars/spares only) rather than retain Olympians which were actually due to be withdrawn this year (assuming 15 year age limit)? A fresh lick of paint when they come off Pronto duties and you're sorted. |
