Enthusiasts that i am in contact with down there say that they would rather have an 03 reg Solar than a 12 reg Optare Tempo SR. Shows how good they are. RE: East Midlands Bus Operations - BusLoverMum - 05 Sep 2015 This thread got me curious. I lived in Uttoxeter for much of the 80s. Adlt fare to burton was something like £1.60 for much of that time. £2 return as of last winter. It's an hour each way!!! http://www.uttoxeteradvertiser.co.uk/ARRIVA-Ticket-prices-slashed-town-buses/story-25693067-detail/story.html RE: East Midlands Bus Operations - Kuyoyo - 10 Sep 2015 9 months on from the original batch of new E200s, High Peak have gained a new batch in a new revamped 'TransPeak' livery to replace the first batch - 525 (YX65 RFY) in Matlock - Photo @ Guy They replace these - 592 (YY64 GWK) in Centrebus livery with TransPeak branding to another part of the Centrebus empire. RE: East Midlands Bus Operations - S813 FVK - 16 Sep 2015 Trent Barton have added a photo of a new 'Red Arrow' coach on their 'trentbarton live' facebook page. The photo shows it as a WIP and can be seen in the attachment. The Volvo B8RLE Wright Eclipse Urban 3 vehicles for 'the two' are said to enter service on the 25th October as mentioned in a reply of the comment "On the no. 2 route hopefully". The orange and Comet do remind me of the Comet stores..! The brand is alright, in my opinion. Brand names or even liveries, have an uncanny similarity... Got to say, that the roles have been reversed and this bad boy wouldn't look out of place on the valley or passing the QE. RE: East Midlands Bus Operations - Andreos1 - 11 Nov 2015 This one slipped me by. Interesting though. Trent Barton have cancelled their services to Ruddington. https://www.trentbarton.co.uk/home/ruddingtondiscontinued They have blamed the tram and associated works. Wellglade have a share in the tram network. NCT have stepped in to fill the gap. https://www.nctx.co.uk/2015/09/nottingham-city-transport-to-retain-important-ruddington-bus-links/ NCT had a share in the tram network. I've always thought we should do more to encourage Sunday travel up here, even if to alleviate some congestion from Saturdays. Perhaps half price day tickets or something, given that you don't have the flexibility of a weekday or Saturday. If their single tickets are priced anything what they're like up here, they'll make their money back straight away by people returning home in the afternoon and buying a single ticket. RE: East Midlands Bus Operations - S813 FVK - 04 Jan 2016 TrentBarton's indigo service is due to go under refurbishment from 31st January (according to Matt Burley). This will also see the frequency of the service drop from every 6-7 minutes to every 10 minutes between Nottingham and Long Eaton. This should, obviously reduce the PVR from 22 vehicles. Any reason why the PVR is reducing? Purely from my own observations, it is a corridor that seems to witness unspecified delays, but one that seems over bused too. |
