RE: Model Buses - Malarkey - 13 Dec 2014 New Angel Model only £29.99 (Bargain), for those unaware this is the website for the Bloke who usually has massive stall at the Bus Rallies. http://www.davesdiecastmodels.co.uk/north-eastangel-wright-eclipse-gemini-newom46505a-p-6655.html And its £29.50 on TTCDiecast.com http://www.ttcdiecast.com/corgi-om46505a-wright-eclipse-gemini-2-go-ahead-northern-angel-of-the-north-28582-p.asp RE: Model Buses - Adrian - 13 Dec 2014 That is a good price mind Malarkey. I keep meaning to have a proper look around his site, since you told me about it at Seaburn. I'd have ordered, if I hadn't already ordered from Hattons. I ended up getting the angel model (Durham destination) and the Coastline Atlantean. Model Buses - R852 PRG - 13 Dec 2014 Bought the Newcastle option for £33 on TTCDiecast! To be honest I dont think Dave Updates his Website that often, as I have found when clicking on certain items they are not in stock online, and it then asks you to click continue for a Stock Request, no doubt Dave will go through all his Models which he stores at his House and will then send you an Email id assume, As I was going to go to his to sell him them Cars/Trucks I sold to him at Seaburn as gave me his Address etc. I am really tempted to Purchase both the Angel Models, but I will have to wait and see if my Mam and Dad along with my Grandparents decide to give me my Christmas Money so I can go out and get what I want, so I actually have something to Open on Christmas Day other than the WWE DVD I got the other Day, Although I may wait until the New Year and keep the Money as it my Birthday a few day after Christmas, Decisions Decisions. Model Buses - R852 PRG - 13 Dec 2014 I remember Dave dominating the model stands at the MetroCentre back in May. I had a brief conversation with him while I purchased something, and he seemed really nice. I understand it is very hard to maintain a website, when you run a very small business that is restrictive in it's options. Don't know if anyone else on here is interested in model railways, but the websites of North East Model Centre (Chester Moor) and Durham Trains of Stanley (Stanley) are both pretty poor. I used to be interested, but model railways are a very expensive hobby. I've still got my Pacer model in TWPTE livery mind! RE: Model Buses - Malarkey - 13 Dec 2014 Full Go North East Model Index, Might find something you never knew existed in Model Form http://www.modelbuszone.co.uk/efe/operators/northerngenidx.html Model Buses - R852 PRG - 13 Dec 2014 (13 Dec 2014, 9:30 pm)aureolin wrote What are the actual shops like? Never been in either. North East Model Centre is an old chapel - a massive building for what little stock they have, when you compare the two. More of a kit shop than a model railway store, in my opinion. The odd model bus or car too. Durham Trains of Stanley is absolutely tiny. Just after the Royal Hotel, and is basically just model railway items with the odd kit. In my opinion, some of the stores across the country like Hatton's and S&J Models are amongst the best. There's only two GNE models that I'm really after now. The PTE livery Atlantean - single door (Britbus AN1-03), and the pink angel branded Gemini (OM41222). Whereas me on the other hand, have a lot of Models still to collect, ill blame it on when I lost interest in 2004 when I moved into Comprehensive School to 2012 when I left College, due to the thought of getting Bullied for what I was Interested in, if I hadnt of lost interest back then I would imagine id have all those Models right now minus a select few. Edit: Theres a Pink Angel going for £8.38 on Ebay atm although that will probs go up to £20+ http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Corgi-Atlas-Great-British-Buses-Go-North-East-Wright-Eclipse-Gemini-/321611690560?pt=UK_ToysGames_DiecastVehicles_DiecastVehicles_JN&hash=item4ae18cf240 RE: Model Buses - Tommy1581 - 15 Dec 2014 Just bought Northumbria Motor Services' 251 and Arriva's 7511 from eBay. 251 was £3.00 without P&P 7511 was £23.99 with free P&P. Nice to see some people do still trust them after all the bad press they've had in the last week or so...................Not that I'm complaining, I've worked for them for the last 3 Christmas. I usually get the same bloke delivering, and I just ring him when I get the first card, and he'll drop it off as agreed. It's been more the fact Black Friday/Cyber Monday crippled the operation - parcels on 'next day delivery' last week were being delivered 3 or more days later. At one point, we had over 500 trailers full of parcels stuck awaiting unloading in our 3 hub centres (Shaw in Oldham, Wednesbury in Birmingham and Hatfield in London) and it almost reached a stage where we were running out of empty trailers for them to load. Resulted in most (but not all) of the sort centres running shifts on Sunday morning to clear the backlog - we at Stockton didn't have to do a Sunday morning shift we just started our Monday shift late on Sunday night, after all we are presently the third top depot in the country. RE: Model Buses - Adrian - 19 Dec 2014 I have to say I'm pretty pleased with my angel model. If anyone was having doubts, I'd recommend getting one asap. I noticed mine was number 888 for the Durham batch, which was pretty cool. RE: Model Buses - Adam - 24 Dec 2014 EFE have announced a new Leyland Olympian model in Northumbria red/grey livery, blinded up as the X26 to Blyth. Expected release date is February. http://www.modelbuszone.co.uk/efe/index.htm RE: Model Buses - R852 PRG - 18 Feb 2015 I'd like to see a model of 4710 come out. I think it would look really smart in it's 'Poppy Red' livery currently worn. I would certainly buy it! Model Buses - Adrian - 28 Feb 2015 |
