'Visit Hexham' have a bluey-purple colour-scheme, so I guess it makes sense to tie a two-tone base livery in with this?

Cue the antis with another few posts of arguments of how lazy Go North East are - if the branding is 'Visit Hexham'...

I don't think that will be the brand name, but there's certainly no harm in providing links to other campaigns such as 'Visit Hexham'. In this instance, a colourscheme (using blue with the already-established yellow base livery).

May be worth saying that only half of 4899s door side advert is in the advert holder. Something to be passed on to the depot.

Either 5170 or 5171 is the same.

Now that blue is far more indigo than the Mauve Indigo. Tongue

Hi Everyone and Happy New Year!

Are all of Hexham's MPD's being repainted?

If Hexham are getting new Solos in the Spring, are they also keeping the MPDs if they are currently being re-painted and having their branding updated ?

I think a jazz up of the existing livery is a good thing.

Hexham are getting 5 Solo's pretty soon and the remaining MPD's that will be stationed at Hexham will be repainted and branded the same as the new vehicles.

Thanks for the update.

Here was me thinking that Hexham were getting a full allocation of Solo's to replace all their MPD's. I must admit however that I do like the MPD, I think they still look a smart bus, especially now since they are getting re-painted.

If they are going to have a mix of Solos and MPD's will each vehicle type be kept to certain routes, eg: Service 74 would always be a MPD, where as Service 682 would always be a Solo or will they be used as a mixed fleet on all of the current Tynedale Links routes.

Looking forward to seeing the new Livery and the new Solos too.

To me, i think it depends on the type of bus.

I think the Gas buses would look really good in the Stagecoach Livery.

See, i don't think they would. The gas pod thing would spoil it for me unfortunately. Mind, I think they need something else putting on them as opposed to 'Check out our new ride - it's a gas!' given that they aren't new anymore.

Ye, not sure what they could put though, they could use something like: providing links around Sunderland..... The Gas pod could stay blue.

I do like the gas livery though....

563 was on the 93S, hence 4979's allocation to the CB1.

I thought it was kindly suggested that all destination reports were put into the DDA/PSVAR thread rather than clogging up the operator threads?

Probably worth mentioning that 5204 broke down in Park Lane Earlier.

I like the Black base livery, it does look good. I thought that the Toonlink Omnicitys looked rather good in Plain Black before the branding was applied.

By 1615, 542 was on 93S, complete with an LED rear blind.

4949 still has rear blind not working.

8317 now an all orange front blind.

5160 is now parked in vor row at Riverside.

Assorted versas will be used on service 27, on Sunday, due to diversion under Black Lane bridge.

It was VOR for PSV so presumably to ensure it passed, it had to have a working rear destination.

It was a profiling issue so really could have retained its rear flipdot screen. There certainly won't be a profile set up to allow flipdot front/side and LED rear, so I'll need to find out what's going on there!

4949's rear was switched off as the soldier vinyl covered the destination and it was illegible anyway. Obviously should have been turned back on with adjustments made to vinyl by now, to comply with DDA / PSVAR regulations!

Why would they need to change it from Citaro to Versa the bridge is hugh enough for Citaros to go under.

Better to be safe than sorry?

Scania L94s aren't permitted to use the Centrelink, as these are slightly taller than a normal single-deck vehicle and they would potentially have a bash with the bridge if they did use it!
