The former Spondon Flyer Versas have now been refurbished for the 'my15' ahead of two improvements in the coming months. 806 shows off the revamped version of the livery (photo @ Guy). Pending the first improvement, which sees the service increased from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes, the quartet will allow the original 'My15' Versas to be refurbished. 801 (YJ11 ENC) will become the first Versa to carry one of the company's spare liveries, with 802-5 remaining branded for the service. Later in the year, it will be extended hourly to East Midlands Airport. Stagecoach in Mansfield - Pronto - 10975 by Daniel Mullins, on Flickr Not mentioned elsewhere (i.e. in the main order thread) is the change of seating in this year's order - having adopted the new Alexander Dennis Smart seating for this year's batch of E400s and E200s Stagecoach East Midlands 10971 interior by Nathan Parker, on Flickr They have displaced the bulk of Mansfield's older deckers - Trident/ALX400 17709/38/9 and President 18028/39/43 - to reserve, with 18039/43 going to Hull and the rest remaining at Mansfield. Also due to be displaced are E300 27762-5/81 - which are heading for Grimsby to release E200s to Scunthorpe to see off Darts. RE: East Midlands Bus Operations - S813 FVK - 04 Jul 2018 Volvo B7RLEs 726 and 727 (ex-Trent Barton and Mango liveried respectively) have both been refurbished, repainted and branded for Rapid One: https://flic.kr/p/27EayjA They replace Optare Versas 850 and 851 which will be rebranded for the rainbow one service when the increased frequency comes into effect on Sunday 22nd July. In unrelated news, former 'my15' branded Optare Versa 801 has been repainted into the standard fleet livery: https://flic.kr/p/27iLkW6 RE: East Midlands Bus Operations - Kuyoyo - 17 Jul 2018 Trent Barton ‘Skylink Express’ is revised from this coming Sunday - it will now be ‘Skylink Clifton’ using 3 Scania L94UBs formerly used on ‘Skylink Nottingham’ to replace the unreliable Scania/Irizar i4s. Former ‘i4’ Scanias 613/7/9/67 and ‘Skylink’ 631 are in the process of transferring to TM Travel - 619 and 631 are already at Halfway. Perhaps they could have just left the skylink express livery as it was, instead of combining it with the Nottingham livery. RE: East Midlands Bus Operations - Kuyoyo - 02 Aug 2018 Trent Barton The first Indigo E200MMC is on show at Long Eaton today - YY18TPO which will be 207. Seemingly confirming the Indigo batch (which are the 11.5m Cummins 4 cylinder engine version) are 201-15. The two ‘Mango’ liveried spares on order are said to be the same model so in theory should be 216/7. The 13 ‘i4’ examples are the 11.7m six cylinder model (as per the ‘Mickleover’, ‘Mainline’ and ‘Skylink’ examples). RE: East Midlands Bus Operations - Kuyoyo - 19 Aug 2018 Trent Barton The first of the 2018 order of E200MMCs entered service yesterday in the form of ‘Mango’ spare 216 working on ‘Skylink Clifton’. The ‘indigo’ examples are entering service from today - the entire fleet was moved from Langley Mill to Mavers Street last night one by one swapping for one of the present fleet of Volvo B7RLEs. RE: East Midlands Bus Operations - Kuyoyo - 19 Aug 2018 Stagecoach As part of the ongoing cascades as a result of the entry into service of the 'Pronto' E400MMCs, E300s 27762-5/81 have transferred to Grimsby depot. As a result, 5 of Grimsby's former Chester Park & Ride B7RLEs are being repainted into Interconnect livery for use on services 50/51 - so far treated as 21270/2 (DK09 DYE/C). 21270 (DK09GYE) by Sam Boothby, on Flickr They replace Scania E400s 15175-9, which are in the process of repaint at various locations within the East Midlands division as well as at Chesterfield depot, to Worksop where they will be Worksop's allocation to service 77 (Worksop to Chesterfield) from September once the route is revised to avoid low bridges in one of the villages. RE: East Midlands Bus Operations - Tamesider - 02 Sep 2018 Does anyone have an up to date fleet list for Nottingham City Transport? Googling only finds hopelessly out-of-date versions anbd/or numerically the first 30 or so buses - which have probably now be sold. In particular, I'm after registration details of the E400Citys (incl. any known to be on order) and any other new deliveries since November 2016 - noting 431-3 are reported "up thread". Note, I do not subscribe to "TwitFaceAgram". tia RE: East Midlands Bus Operations - Tamesider - 02 Sep 2018 (02 Sep 2018, 1:47 pm)Tamesider wrote Does anyone have an up to date fleet list for Nottingham City Transport? When looking for '68 regs (anywhere), I remembered BLOTW, so after some surfing found 401-453 scattered across 2017/8. I assume 453 is the last one of the order and no other new buses have been bought in the last 22 months. RE: East Midlands Bus Operations - S813 FVK - 02 Sep 2018 Trent Barton's Red Arrow service goes '24/6' from today, extending the 24 hour service from Friday and Saturday nights only. https://trentbarton.co.uk/news-and-media/our-news/article/redarrow2018 Sunday nights won't see a 24 hour service, with last journeys being 22:45 from Derby and 23:30 from Nottingham. Does anyone know he fleet numbers or which number series will be used ie following on from 128 or 217, possibly? They should just follow on from the indigo batch. They're for the i4 service replacing the Tempo SRs. I believe one (unbranded bar the light up logo on the front) was used as part of a Careers Roadshow held by ADL in Manchester. Have these actually been rumbered yet? BLOTW originally quoted 129-141, then due to a registration mix up, they were quoted as 128-140 - obviously wrong, as there is already a "128" - but now they are showing as 218-230. The first one is currently being used for familiarisation - that’s 129 (YX68 ULA). It’s the first to feature the new ‘Smart Mirrors’ - cameras in place of wingmirrors. RE: East Midlands Bus Operations - Dan - 09 Oct 2018 (07 Oct 2018, 7:00 pm)S813 FVK wrote Another bit of technology waiting to go wrong! I don't think I'd feel overly comfortable with it, but I suppose you never know until you try it. It's quite common on trams etc, so maybe it can be successful on buses too? Always one to embrace new technology, but like you I think I'm pretty sceptical about this one. If the camera goes off, that bus is suddenly deemed unfit for service, and presumably has to wait up to a couple of days for the CCTV contractor to come out and repair the fault. If a driver whacks the wing mirror into a bus stop, into another bus etc, then again, that's another bus off the road. A 'normal' mirror presumably much more easy for a bus operator to get their hands on, if they don't already keep a sufficient number of them in stock. |
