Sorry for late reply. £££ RE: Cumbria & North Lancashire Bus Operations - Kuyoyo - 19 Jul 2015 E200 37113-21 are to move to Stagecoach South West. Information @ Stagecoach Enthusiasts Facebook Group. RE: Cumbria & North Lancashire Bus Operations - northern156 - 22 Jul 2015 Carlisle-based ADL E300 27142 SN64OGE now features a scrolling bottom line on the destination with 'Newcastle' displayed. Seen this morning driving to work. Also seen 27142 this afternoon but that had 'Brampton for Carlisle' on, so not sure if that has changed or not. RE: Cumbria & North Lancashire Bus Operations - Michael - 29 Jul 2015 Not sure its being mentioned but Stagecoach has appointed a new MD for its Cumbria and North Lancashire bus operations. Current Stagecoach North East Operations Director, Matthew Cranwell, will take on the role of MD, Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire, from 1 September 2015. RE: Cumbria & North Lancashire Bus Operations - DanPicken - 12 Aug 2015 I'm going to Carlisle on Saturday and going to get a Dayrider so what generally runs on the services round there? Can I just say, if you are going to Carlisle. I strongly recommend getting a ticket to Whitehaven to ride the loco hauled RE: Cumbria & North Lancashire Bus Operations - northern156 - 13 Aug 2015 Carlisle City services are ran by the new Solos and a handful of E200s (and are supplemented with services out of the city. It'd be best to go to St Bees where services pass each other usually. RE: Cumbria & North Lancashire Bus Operations - Davie - 15 Aug 2015 Should the new Solo Srs be allocated to the short 685 (Carlisle - Brampton)? He seems to be the Cumbria expert Just a tad late on this one...! Pretty much anything can go on the short 685. Olympians, Tridents, Solos, Darts, E200s, you name it, it's probably been on it. Usually a Solo though. (Either the old type or the SR). Thanks, I (as I think you know) I like hard-ish seats so the 59-reg ones I am fine with, I just think it is mad RE: Cumbria & North Lancashire Bus Operations - northern156 - 10 Oct 2015 (06 Oct 2015, 5:45 am)NK53 TKT wrote Thanks, I (as I think you know) I like hard-ish seats so the 59-reg ones I am fine with, I just think it is mad Mad that buses have to have inspections every few weeks? If one comes in late (which is very much possible being the long route it is) they'll have another ready to send out. Breakdowns too. 2 buses to cover a PVR of 2. RE: Cumbria & North Lancashire Bus Operations - AIG20 - 05 Dec 2015 Apparently, according to a member of the Stagecoach Enthusiasts Facebook Group, Stagecoach Cumbria's Carlisle Depot has been evacuated due to flooding/the risk of flooding with the buses parked on nearby streets. Proved to be a good decision as the depot is flooded worse than in 2005. There is an image of several buses parked on the Bus Lane in Carlisle City Centre on "The Northern Road Transport Trust" Facebook Group. I assume the flooding will still cause major disruption as they will have issues refuelling the vehicles, checking the vehicles, finding the vehicles and so on. RE: Cumbria & North Lancashire Bus Operations - Michael - 21 Dec 2015 Update from Stagecoach for the floods in Cumbria: (was updated today) https://www.stagecoachbus.com/service-updates/serviceupdatesarticle?SituationId=ID-07/12/2015-18:33:25:610 RE: Cumbria & North Lancashire Bus Operations - Andreos1 - 27 Jan 2016 Buses in Cumbria were still suffering with closures and diversions prior to the latest storms. Amongst several I saw: The road joining the east of Staveley with the A591 is closed, meaning the 555 is forced to do a u-turn in the middle of the village. Kendal has a bridge closure too, meaning diversions there.
