Thanks Malarks...

The Consett buses from Sunderland don't go that way then?

265, 43/44 it is going to be then

Only the 43 goes to Dipton mind, not the 44/44A. Takes 45 minutes too.

Another option would be the 61 to Park Lane, Metro to Gateshead, then X70 to Dipton. The X70 takes about 30 minutes from Gateshead to Dipton, but you'll have to time your connections well as the X70 only operates hourly. It departs Gateshead at 40 mins past.

Thanks Tom...Gonna ask my old man if he fancies taking me, though I don't mind getting the bus, will make a day of it and being on my own means I can quietly reflect on why I am going to Mountsett Smile

RE: Anything and Everything - Michael - 01 Jul 2015

Another day of hot weather, another day off for me although i'm back to work tomorrow and Friday... better not be hot, as it'll be long days.

RE: Anything and Everything - theblackwatch - 01 Jul 2015

Certainly hot here today, luckily we have air-con in the office and I'm able to go to work in my shorts - still a bit warm though! Managed to take advantage of the weather yesterday by leaving early to phot a few of the older buses on school runs Wink

=D, that's nice of them to drop the dress code at work for the weather!

We don't have a dress code - I could wear shorts every day if I wanted! Smile

The job that probably has the most ideal dress code for this weather is probably underwear model.

The worst I've had in this weather although it wasn't a job was when I was doing painting and decorating at college and I was wearing white overalls over my normal clothing, it was horrible was so tempting on hot days to wear just the overalls. During the winter our workshop was freezing, especially if you where in on a Monday morning but thankfully we had theory lessons on Monday mornings.

One person on site ALWAYS wears shorts, even in the middle of winter - I can only think of one time I saw her in tracksuit bottoms and I hardly recognised her! Tongue

I suppose that would be better but would that even be classed as dress code given that they won't be dressed?

Anyone else got torrential downpours plus thunder and lighting where they live?

Seriously the amount of rain in the last few minutes has been insane. It is amusing though seeing people in very little clothing running like mad to get out of the rain. Thankfully I'm inside.

Yeah, where I am it went dark, then the thunder and lighting started followed by the rain.

So if there is dark clouds where any of you are you are probably going to get wet if you are outside.

A postman in my area wears shorts and short sleeve shirts, even in Winter, come rain, shine or tidal wave...We could be 10' under snow and that mush will find a way to get his job done Big Grin
