Model Buses - Adrian - 11 May 2013 Anybody collect these or even pick the odd one up? I tend to pick the odd one up if I'm a fan of the branding or vehicle, but tend to stick with North East or TfL stuff. I'm hoping GNE commission something new like the green Angel. RE: Model Buses - Adrian - 18 May 2013 Picked up a couple of new models lately. Ordered the New Bus for London new from Model Zone, with the 'We Will Rock You!' banner. I also picked up a couple of models on eBay. Specifically a President on the 21, and an MPD on the 734. RE: Model Buses - Andreos1 - 18 May 2013 Beats the scratched and dinted Corgi Routemasters I got when I was a kid. Still knocking around somewhere I think RE: Model Buses - Malarkey - 22 Jul 2013 I have few GNE Bus Models which include: GNE MPD 734/Doxford Clipper Citylink Citaro Coastline ECW Olympian Coastline Wright Renown Northern Superliner MCW MetroBus Released in 1993 I have various other bus models which you can see on this link http://www.flickr.com/photos/adammalarkey/collections/72157634193648077/ RE: Model Buses - Adrian - 23 Jul 2013 I quite like the London General Gemini. I've been keeping a look out for one for quite a while, but I'm looking at the Tyne and Wear PTE models more now. I've recently bought both the Sunderland Busways and Newcastle Busways Olympian metrobus models. RE: Model Buses - Adrian - 25 Jul 2013 Latest addition. Just waiting for it to arrive. Edit: Just managed to purchase this one too, so should have it in a couple of days. RE: Model Buses - Malarkey - 29 Jul 2013 Another Recent Model Repaint I have just finished doing. In the form of a Blaydon Racers Mercedes Citaro. http://www.flickr.com/photos/adammalarkey/9396253658/ RE: Model Buses - Malarkey - 05 Aug 2013 If Go North East were to produce another Model Bus what would you like to see? I would of included Angel Hybrid Gemini 2 which is an obvious one, but currently the Gemini 2 Model is only available in China. The Options Are Red Kite Scania Omnicity OK Way Dennis Dart MPD Royal British Legion Wright Solar Wheyaye50 Wright Solar Other RE: Model Buses - Adrian - 06 Aug 2013 Angel branded Gemini 2 would be my preference, but any of the other branded Gemini 2s would be fine. Wouldn't mind seeing a branded Versa either - perhaps the Quaylink? I wouldn't mind a Spectre, but not enough to want to pay £65 for it! Also is it just me or weren't the X6 spectres in Go Xpress livery? RE: Model Buses - Michael - 02 Sep 2013 £65 hahahahaha... Ill wait till the price drops RE: Model Buses - BJ10VUS - 02 Sep 2013 (02 Sep 2013, 9:18 am)Michael wrote £65 hahahahaha... "Limited to just 200 pieces. These buses will be £74.99 RRP" Hmmmm... Once they're sold in shops, (or wherever they're going to be distributed from) the price will go up to £74.99. Doubt they'll get any cheaper, unfortunately RE: Model Buses - Michael - 02 Sep 2013 (02 Sep 2013, 7:17 pm)BJ10VUS wrote £65 is the pre-order price. Seems a bit much though, considering the Angel is only £27.99 http://www.ttcdiecast.com/om41222-go-north-east---wright-eclipse-gemini-1670-p.asp RE: Model Buses - Michael - 02 Sep 2013 (02 Sep 2013, 7:22 pm)BJ10VUS wrote If it's limited edition, I guess they'll charge it because they can. got my model of the Angel on Ebay.. brill condition for £23 RE: Model Buses - BJ10VUS - 02 Sep 2013 (02 Sep 2013, 7:24 pm)Michael wrote got my model of the Angel on Ebay.. brill condition for £23 You can get good stuff at rallies occasionally - bargain too! I haven't bought a model for a while. RE: Model Buses - Adrian - 02 Sep 2013 Apart from the NBFL which I *really* wanted, I've never spent more than £10 on any model. I tend to just browse eBay, as I look out for GNE or Tyne and Wear PTE models - although I did buy the two Busways models too. I have no interest in models really, though I do have a few from when I was a child and family members gave me them - alongside cars and the like too. How much was the NBFL model? Despite having no interest in them, the prices always intrigue me. It was RRP for £34.99, but I ended up getting it for £27.99. It pained me to pay that much though. I think the most I paid was £8 for a First Bath 'Orange Bus' Bendy - this was about 5 years ago at Whitley Bay Rally. Y'could have two trips down to London on Megabus Wednesdays for that cost to have a ride and take photos of 'em! :L The prices of "rare" models always seems so high, and it baffles me that some pay such prices for them. £75 for the Spectra above... Fair enough, only 200 will be made - but what is going to stop another company making them and selling them for a lower price? RE: Model Buses - Adrian - 02 Sep 2013 (02 Sep 2013, 8:30 pm)Daniel wrote Ooof... I'm trying to think of things I would rather do less than a Megabus journey to London not having much luck! I take the point though, and it was a one off for me. The £75 for the Spectre is insane. There's a Stagecoach Enviro 400 Hybrid model that's a similar price I think Looking at the world of Hornby too, and you're paying upwards of £100 for a loco. Just done a quick search and they want £110 as a 'discount' price for the new Class 91 model. You could practically buy the land and build a branch line for the same price as constructing a Hornby set. RE: Model Buses - Adam - 05 Sep 2013 There is another brand new Go North East bus coming out. This time, it's an EFE model of a Leyland National on service 723. The bus in question is 4701 (FTN 701W). It's expected to be released this month. http://www.modelbuszone.co.uk/efe/index.htm RE: Model Buses - Malarkey - 05 Sep 2013 (05 Sep 2013, 4:48 pm)Adam wrote There is another brand new Go North East bus coming out.
