Hodgsons, Barnard Castle - tyresmoke - 17 Mar 2014 A new arrival for Hodgsons is Plaxton Elite HC14BUS which appears to be replacement for Panther HC10BUS which has gone to Plaxton's in part exchange. Another new arrival for the front line tour fleet... after the 63 plate Panther (in Newmarket livery) a few months ago! Another new arrival for the front line tour fleet... after the 63 plate Panther (in Newmarket livery) a few months ago! I had HC61 BUS on my school trip to France last year. Hodgson's have done it for us for a few years now; there's also one to Germany and I think on the other school site (school's split into two sites) they do the trip to Spain and the one to Italy as well as a few humanities things like Geography field trips (e.g. Welsh Mining Towns). They really are a great company. RE: Hodgsons, Barnard Castle - BUSFAN - 14 Jul 2014 A new arrival is a light blue Tri Axle Volvo Coach did not see reg so anyone know where it came from or is it brand new RE: Hodgsons, Barnard Castle - John_R - 27 Nov 2014 Hodgsons now have another Plaxton Panther 2 - 624BGY It is in fleet livery with no fleetnames on yet. Judging by the seats it one of the ex Corporate Coaching 2 year old panthers that Plaxton are currently selling. http://www.plaxtoncoachsales.co.uk/vehicle/yn12csy-2012-plaxton-panther-volvo-b9r RE: Hodgsons, Barnard Castle - Jimmi - 13 Mar 2015 With the reopening of the A67, service 70 will revert to running Barnard Castle-Ingleton again from May 3rd. I think the Hodgson's livery looks really smart on that little guy. RE: Hodgsons, Barnard Castle - John_R - 13 Mar 2015 Their twitter feed shows that they have a 15 reg Mercedes Tourismo and a Scania Omniexpress awaiting to enter the fleet. https://twitter.com/HodgsonsCoaches/media RE: Hodgsons, Barnard Castle - John_R - 23 Sep 2015 Hodgsons now have an Ex Eddie Brown Plaxton Cheetah https://www.flickr.com/photos/andyburbidge/17832736610/in/photolist-9AG6h3-9KprkP-6rG6SH-qtExyK-p91Us6-ngZu9E-o3Diyf-taPrj3-9Wr3KP-cxy2ZU RE: Hodgsons, Barnard Castle - BUSFAN - 24 Sep 2015 Some times a Hodgesons Coach will be used by Weardale on one of their tours. Anyone know if the registration is 198 CXH or I98 CXH? Most likely a 1 - don't think I's are allowed in regustrations because of the confusion it can cause with a 1. Definitely 198CXH according to DVLA. Oct 2002 model according to them. Not seen that one before RE: Hodgsons, Barnard Castle - Jimmi - 25 Feb 2016 (25 Feb 2016, 8:27 pm)tyresmoke wrote Definitely 198CXH according to DVLA. Oct 2002 model according to them. Not seen that one before Thanks! Didn't know it was even with Hodgsons until I read the legal lettering, as even when I was practically right in front of it, I couldn't tell it was on the 79A, it looks more like it says 71A from a distance. Rather ironically, I had both the bus and the driver to and from school today! Had it for quite a while, at least last September, they have others rather similar including ex-Eddie Brown R55 EBT (in base livery without vinyls) as well as a 57-reg and a 60-reg, though this is the only plain white one! The worst bus would have to be Vario PO51 WNP...recently had a touch up repaint in the back corner after Mr Hodgson himself caught it turning around while on our way home...had the bus been a little longer I would have met an untimely end with a lamppost!!! RE: Hodgsons, Barnard Castle - BUSFAN - 26 Feb 2016 I was not aware they had such a high spec fleet and are quite local to me but never see any of their vehicles locally they must do a lot of Continental work and long distance runs. Hi Peter Not sure who provided you with this information but it is incorrect HC60 BUS became NJ60 HCG before it was sold on to a new owner, as of today it still hasn't been rear ended by a lorry RE: Hodgsons, Barnard Castle - peter - 30 Jul 2016 (30 Jul 2016, 11:49 am)HodgsonsCoaches wrote Hi Peter Oh right...not sure then, just presumed the information I was given was correct!
