4 replaces x35 peterlee to -hougton at every 30 mins hourly on Sunday
X6 close numbers to 206 but express through to Hartlepool
X20 hourly normal route to east Herrington then does the x35 to hetton to then replace service 168 to east rainton then limited stop to Durham

RE X6: Do you propose this as the existing X35 Coast Rd route or via Wingate & Hutton Henry as you mention the 206?
RE X35: Would the X35 be kept Houghton - Sunderland only?

Is there an argument for 2 diagrams of the X9/X10 being ran from Peterlee? I imagine the 05:10 and 05:27 from Gateshead can't carry any passengers southbound and are more positioning runs for the peak northbounds from Middlesbrough.
If these first two departed from Peterlee instead, it would wipe out 50 miles based on two buses running from Riverside to Peterlee empty. I'm aware Peterlee is a low cost operation and Tyne Tees drivers (I think) are on an enhanced rate of pay but shifts could be organised so Peterlee drivers are taken off at the earliest opportunity and riverside drivers could have breaks in Peterlee.
This would also allow two later departures from Newcastle at 21:15 and 22:15 to match the later departures Middlesbrough currently gets and Newcastle doesn't.
(08 Feb 2016, 6:43 pm)biglugs@yahoo.com wrote Now may be long but
X10 Newcastle-gateshead-heworth-east Herrington-sunderland - seaham -peterlee -direct to Norton - Stockton - Middlesbrough all in less than 2 hours
Quicker than x12
PVR 4 6043-46 with 6047 as spare
The x9 will remain the same at a pvr 4
6048--6071-6084
The interwork pattern
X10 Newcastle to Middlesbrough
30 mins layover
X9 Middlesbrough to Newcastle
Then back on x10
The x7 will be PVR 2 and will allow 5333 to transfer to riverside to replace 6084
Then with the x10 Sunderland to Newcastle via east Herrington it can allow service x36 to ternamate at downhill
Same pvr

The Cadets will be gone soon so i would change the allocation of the 30/30A.

99 Sunderland -palion -casletown-downhill - southwick -seaburn
38 -hougton -east Herrington- doxford park - tunstall bank - hollycarside -Sunderland
The 30/30a will be a circular service
33 a service linking pennywell to Sunderland then to silksworth
99 old show stopper route but at every hour
38 rerouted through doxford park to give Doxford park a extra bus
Pvr
30 PVR 2
30a pvr 2
33 PVR 3
The 30/30a will use cadets 8267-69./72
The 33 will use Renown's
Doxford park will have 3 buses per hour to Sunderland
Silksworth will have a 15 minute service to Sunderland
With a choice service to royal hospital at every 15 mins
(08 Feb 2016, 10:44 pm)Diamond One wrote your absolutely right it doesn't need any more buses to the hospital its got plenty of buses going there anyways i say the services are fine in Sunderland anyways no need for changes if it works it works and stays if it doesn't it doesn't and the service ultimately gets withdrawn either due to low passenger numbers or not much funding to run it
(08 Feb 2016, 10:56 pm)Michael wrote Defo, i agree the changes which GNE made in Sunderland last time are currently working, no need to change them.
I do like reading other peoples suggestions, some of these are quite good.
I'm not saying people should stop suggesting routes....
(08 Feb 2016, 10:59 pm)Diamond One wrote when you do the routes it seems more than likely it will happen 9 could do with better vehicles on there as i say if it works it works no need to change unless passenger numbers drop slightly
(08 Feb 2016, 10:55 pm)biglugs@yahoo.com wrote 56 Sunderland-southwick-concord-wrekenton-gateshead-metro centre
56 to be extended to metro centre to replace the x66
More capacity on the service which means not as many are left behind
Service x88 to run Washington to metro centre only
And ran by riverside
Passengers for Newcastle can do
Sunderland iether train or metro or x36
Southwick x36
Hylton castle 56 to Gateshead then any bus to Newcastle
Concord 4 to heworth then 27
Wrekenton x1 or x25
Gateshead any other service
Doing this the PVR will increase by 1
Riverside to gain 2 runs
6084 and 6100 to transfer
(08 Feb 2016, 11:04 pm)Michael wrote How come?, my suggestions earlier was just putting 2 routes together haha.
The 9 needs better buses but nothing new, maybe the Scania's from the Prince Bishops?
Does the 9 still need to use a decker during one of its runs?, if not, the whole route should be Scania once the Steetlites arrive.
(08 Feb 2016, 11:07 pm)Diamond One wrote only 1 decker is required for 1 run to interwork with scholars i like your idea though
i think the scanias from prince bishop will end up on 9 i will be content would be ideal replacing all the old stuff on there
(08 Feb 2016, 11:13 pm)Michael wrote The route is the nearly the same as when it was branded "Cross Tyne", a brand which should be brought back, it would look good on the Scania's and they wouldn't need repainting either.
