RE: Pokemon Go
Hardwick park not as exciting as last time. In amongst all the watery ones, it appears to be a goldeen nest.

The day after ds1 finally evolved himself a rather magnificent gyarados, we each caught a wild one!

Also picked up another bleeding dragon scale, at some point. That's 4, now!

Very nice, my 7 day streak is tomorrow i think.

I've hit all stops on the Bigg Market stretch twice today, and only a 10km egg to show for it.

7 day streak tomorrow, so hopefully a King's rock, as I've now got plenty of Poliwag and Slowpoke candy to use.

So far, I've had a metal coat (or whatever it's called), 2 up-grades, 4 bleeding dragon scales a Sun stone and that King's rock. 4 of those from Bigg Market, one from Durham Marketplace, One from CLS marketplace and the rest fairly random and unmemorable. I'm tempted to do the extra 15 minutes walk each morning, until Friday, though, to The Only Pokestop in the Village to see if I get something other than a dragon scale or up-grade for my efforts.

So this happened as I was passing through Thornley way yesterday...

The sheer delight of seeing my first Snorlax spawn on the map, to the agony of seeing it's CP!

Its IV stats are about 91%, so I just need a lot of candy...

RE: Pokemon Go
Some good nests south of the Tyne this time round. Onix at Glebe Park, meaning I've now got a Steelix. Growlithe in Saltwell Park, and Latimers appears to be a Magmar nest.

I usually find the Broadway at Houghton decent for spawns, but today was something else. Ursaring and a Hitmonchan both spawned around the same time. Caught the Hitmonchan, but the Ursaring had vanished by the time I'd got there.

We grabbed an onix from glebe park, yesterday, too.

Teddiursa seemed to be everywhere. Saw a few hitmonlee in sigtings, too.

Hoping to hit Albert park in boro, tomorrow, for some more totodile. Apparently there's cynquadil in the garden s opposite. And broomside park in Durham is teeming with chikorita and I only need 40 more candy to evolve one all the way.

So I've had some luck from a mix of 2k and 5k eggs today. I've hatched a Pichu, Togepi, Growlithe and a Tangela.

Nee snorlax, mind. I'll not be spending any money on stuff.

The double XP is very welcome, combined with first throw bonuses

Maybe not, but *ahem*... found this lad down the Quayside earlier... Blush

Now you're just rubbing salt into the wound.

We did get close to a Lapras, yesterday, for Bigun, but it was in the wrong direction and Husband getting lost behind the bus station in Hull city centre once in a morning was more than enough excitement for one weekend.

I'd got a Pinceo out of a 10km at the weekend. Needless to say I was livid!

Got an Abra from a 5km earlier today, and have finally evolved my Kadabra into an Alakazam.

I've another 10km on the go at the moment, with about 1km left. Hoping for something decent!

RE: Pokemon Go
Trainers,

Professor Willow's research into Pokémon habitats around the world has uncovered some interesting findings. His initial reports indicate that we’ll see an influx of Grass-type Pokémon sometime this weekend. These Pokémon will appear in the wild more frequently starting the afternoon of May 5, but only for a short period of time. We anticipate that Pokémon will return to their normal habitats on May 8, 2017 PDT.

Help us contribute to Professor Willow’s ongoing research by catching as many Grass-type Pokémon as possible this weekend. While you’re out with friends and family, don’t forget to document your findings using the Pokémon GO AR camera and share your screenshots on social media using #PokemonGO.
