Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2020

RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2020
The six E400 at Stockton depot are no 19204'6'7and 19211 is that right and want the last 2 no of six E400 19?

That is correct at all bus stops only to prevent people from smoking within the area of where the shelters are.

On the Nexus website it says John Hall Taxis and Stagecoach operate the 22. I have never heard of John Hall Taxis before and can't find anywhere what 22 trips are operated by them. Interesting...

It's very similar to 36/37/38 down in Teesside

Cross City would probably be a better brand allows more filxabity

Cross City frequent buses in and around Newcastle

I don't like branding if the buses end up allocated to other services, but if currently allocated the branding is useful - quite bland in this case - but smart and certainly not pointless, unless allocated to another service. Stagecoach are not too big on branding, certainly when compared to Go North East, but they do have some branding. The 100 should had remained a branded service. Expressed should have a special livery too.
RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2020
Does John Hall Taxis actually operate any 22 trips, or is the Nexus website incorrect? There is no mention on the Nexus timetable of John Hall Taxis running and trips.

19379-82 were originally heading to Slatyford on the back of the new MMC at Walkergate, similarly 19383/4 were down for joining Stockton... - but this was when all Newcastle disposal E400 were heading to Gloucester. So with changes to this (like East Midlands and Highlands now receiving some of the E400), together with the won DCC schools, it's still a little changeable. Slatyford were notably down a few deckers last week so possibly why 19380 has moved across already.

They don't meet the requirements for the contract section between Low Simonside and Jarrow Bus Station. They're Euro 4 as were manufactured and registered before Euro 5 standard came into play.

Currently 19204, 19205, 19206, 19207 and 19211.

It's only intended to be iterm branding, a stopgap before the new livery rolls out at the end of the month. Similar to 36/37/38 E200. New livery has been pretty much in limbo for three years so why should regions hang around and miss out on marketing their new buses while the Group still debates - but yeah there is a general push away from localised 'special' branding inline with the the new company brand. Similar to how Arriva route brands I suspect.

Looks to be an error, certainly can't find any changes on the registration in relation to said company. Changes on the 22nd are minor timing changes and enhancements to Monday-Friday afternoon journeys.

In other news not noted; Stockton route learner 22066 is now reserve with 22068 taking its place, 22064 is now also on fleet from reserve. 22026 is now up for disposal after 22018 moved back from Slatyford. Repeated engine issue means 27508 is back in reserve.
22437 is now in reserve fleet at Walkergate.

As Stockton depot got 19208 there has well or not
RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2020
The cascade of E400s to Gloucester was intended to free up ALX400s to go to North Bristol for replacement of the assorted Olympians that had been used by SGBC on school contracts. However, a number of ALX400s have arrived from Stagecoach East instead, so it may be that the need for the E400s at Gloucester is diminished or eliminated, allowing the SNE E400s to go elsewhere.

No, that's waiting to be picked up by East Midlands.

Do we have a rough idea of which E400s are going where in the group yet?

How many driver training vehicles does Stagecoach have? I pictured one leaving Slatyford depot this morning. I prefer the driver training vehicle livery to Stagecoach's normal livery!

Slatyford route learner 22066 is now reserve with 22068 taking its place. And yes 26 is back on fleet now - ta Robin.

11298 has been delivered in all over white last night. New vehicles being delivered in white was speculated back in October as a transition blank canvas with the uncertainty of when the new livery would be approved, so appears it's happened between Walkergate's batch.

The return of the stripes?
RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2020
I hope it stripes I all ways like the stripes.
RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2020
Drawings of the proposed liveries have been circulating for quite a while now, and the start of the rollout of the 'special' version (green/turquoise) can be seen on the XLB/Evoras for Cambridge and E400EVs for Manchester.

Proposed that each area would have their own version, so bees in the case of Manchester which the drawings are based around.

I liked the stripes, and still prefer them as the current livery is too white.

I was not aware Stagecoach were introducing a new livery. I like the driver training livery. I also like the X24 livery, which should be used for all expresses, and the 100. The Sunderland livery is not bad either.
RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2020
I hope they aren’t going ahead with the red one. Would seem a bit odd, given the interior is blue and grey!
