The Newcastle one is excellent - I did it last year. It uses the Aycliffe red Bristol L and had live narration with someone from Newcastle Council who clearly knew their stuff. The Sunderland one uses one of the NEBPT vehicles but is a full day and I've never sampled that one.

Looks like the NE Festival of Transport at Seaburn is defunct, though the Sunderland and District Classic Vehicle Society and NNRG are running a similarly named event in Durham County Hall car park.There's been an annual classic vehicle rally at County Hall for a while, so it will be interesting to see if they've expanded the scope (we live a 10 minute walk away)
