Go North East Correcting Working 2022
RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2022
Just spotted Citaro 5326 on the 65. Has Peterlee depot closed yet?

Also I'm on Prince Bishops 5436 on the 61 although it seems today the 61's been allocated whatever they found round the back (there's a Solo on it too, didn't get the number).

Also what looked like a B9 on the 35
RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2022
Deptford were doing so well.

There are two solo's on the 60, with 2 60's on the 9&5

Several 9 allocated buses on the 20 & 35, with Prince Bishops being on the 2 & 61

There are half of the versa's off, with one being on the 9

There is only one violet on out of 4.

There are a double decker on the 55 & 35.

Just had a quick look on the app....

Solos on the 60 = 647,672 with the 61 = 649

Make that 3 drifters on 9 & 5 being 5369,5372, 5375 and the Berries = 8334

Short wheelbase Streetlites (9/5 ones) 20 = 8346, 35 = N/A

Prince Bishops on the 2A = 5423 and on the 61 = 5436

The only violet on is 5335

The DD on 55 = 6087 and on the 35 = N/A

Allocations do seem to be a mess today mind. I’m not sure why - perhaps just a bad day? Long term it’s either one of two things, either there’s too many branded buses for the depot to cope with which leaves little room for manoeuvre with VORs etc. or the depot team don’t seem to managing this effectively.

Some things can be explained, if all of the Violets bar 1 aren’t available for service, then they aren’t available, simple as - although it does now seem that one of them has made it onto scholars this afternoon. Also, Prince Bishops popping up all over the place is a due to the 4 spare branded buses they have, because of the 20 being reduced currently. The 61 has a PB daily. But of course the 20 currently should never not have a branded bus really, unless there were more then 4 out of service.

As for the 60, I mentioned weeks back that it seems to be a conscious decision that they allocate some of the Drifter StreetLites to 5/9 circuit, happens regularly, it’s odd but not rare. Unknown why this occurs.

It seems like the 07:49 60 service, basically every day M-F is operated by a solo, as there are already some on the 9&5.

I don't think it is the fact that there are two many branded buses for one depot, Riverside Seem to manage quite well. There are plenty of spares, I understand buses brake down, and buses which may be ready in the morning to replace a branded one comes on, then maybe that bus whihc was replaced earlier was fixed then it does a service I get that. BUt when there is a Drifter on the 9/5 from 7am in the morning, not to mention their is a spare one is a bit a joke.

Deptford have plenty of spare buses, but it seems deptford would put out corporate branded buses when there are branded buses for that route free.

6117 26

5472 26

Maybe for the PM Boards, however I was not expecting this allocation.
It'll be nice to have working USB's back onto the 26

Looks like it was swapped over for 6307 on service 50 in Chester le Street this morning

6307 having started the day at Washington ended up on the 21 and 3942 started on Chester schools and ended up on the 26/50

Genuinely can’t recall a citaro ever running a 21, first time capture.

Few Voyagers kicking around today too, would  Streetdeck woes again…unless they’re repainting everything again ?

In a management culture which seems to foster and encourage 'things' of yesteryear, sticking an Omnicity or two on the 21 before they go the journey... well it seems fitting.

Forget the novelty of a Merc being allocated. Disregard the novelty factors of tables or the Voyager bus company helping out. Stick an Omni on and let us hark back to the days of over-crowding and pink gareishness.

Do customers know this? The livery doesn’t suggests any link to GNE. Customers would be forgiven for thinking it’s the same situation as Aline operating certain journeys.

I was just thinking earlier, I question the whole point of Voyager especially when it seems they frequently end up on main service work and on some core routes, such as the 21 and X1.

Customers probably don’t pay much attention but since they have full nsa and scrolling gonortheast on the screen there’s probably no noticeable change for customers aside the seatbelts, less legroom, no tables, no gimmicks and random pictures of edinburgh on the seats and stairwell

I am chuckling at Andreos’ idea of chucking the omnicites back on the 21 as a farewell tour
