The services gaining Mercs would be the next best option imo, given that a bus with a Mercedes badge on the front gives a more luxurious/premium perception to a customer - exactly the kind of thing you want, when you're in direct competition.
The could justify brand new vehicles in my opinion, Though a Heavy Duty Vehicle should be chosen as Streetlites are definitely not suited for continues Express Work. ( Same goes for the X7 )
If Mercs are Chosen instead of new Vehicles then it would be best if they were Deep Cleaned or Internally Refurbished again, Maybe fitted with Plugs , Wifi and maybe NSAs if needed.
Most Citaros I've been on recently have been very grubby.
