They seem to enjoy barfing up the same ideas from back in the day that dont work, and its always the 1, and one of the 90s they do it with, the 1 is long enough, leave it alone, it was only 18 months ago they reverted to 1 back to Whitley Bay- Gateshead, it doesnt work
2016 17 merged with the 96 and renumbered 11
2019 11 curtailed at Wallsend, replaced with the 1/ 1A- Failed
2020? 1 renumbered 1A/1B, 1 withdrawn- Failed
2021 1A/1B curtailed at Gateshead, renumbered back to 1- It Works
Thats just from the last 6 and a bit years, im sure theres plenty more before 2016
