19442 was making a rather loud metal-to-metal noise, the sort of sound you'd hear from wore out bus brakes - but obviously when it was accelerating! Could hear it from my office at work when it was going past! It's been resolved now I believe.

19202 transferred to East Midlands (Lincoln) two years ago from Walkergate with 19201. They joined 19142/6/7/8 which they received three years ago on the back of the E400MMC investment on 62/63. If I recall 19201/2 became surplus on the back of service changes.

And all arrived back Saturday afternoon.

No Stockton won't be re-branding them.

Missed that 22026 was mentioned, was just an extra pair of hands while MMCs were away at Cheltenham.

Just a question - has the X34 during its existence ever stopped at Heworth at any point?

Not legally, but I have seen passengers disembark at Heworth before, presumably they asked if it stopped and driver agreed to stop...

They usually get off at Heworth when they have been away with the fairies and got on wrong bus at Newcastle. Beats me how they don't even realise they have gone over Tyne Bridge and not realised then they are on wrong bus and get off at Gateshead.

How long have the X24/34 not stopped at Gateshead Interchange. I nearly accidentally stayed on X24 too long a few months ago.

It's been around 2 year now since the X34 served the Interchange, both the X24/X34 only serve Gateshead High Street now.

What's the reason for them not stopping at the interchange, is it just to reduce the journey time by a couple of minutes?

Presumably that, and to avoid departure charges for using the bus station.

It appears that following the recent service change on Teesside, the Sunday workings have been revised - with the 36/37/38 now interworking with 12/39 as followed:

37 xx28 Boro-North Tees Hospital xx00
37 xx07 North Tees Hospital-Boro xx40
39 xx48 Boro-Park End xx06
39 xx06 Park End-Boro xx23
12 xx30 Boro-Parkway Centre xx03
12 xx03 Parkway Centre-Boro xx36
36 xx43 Boro-Hartlepool xx45
36 xx51 Hartlepool-Boro xx55
39 xx08 Boro-Park End xx26
39 xx26 Park End-Boro xx44
12 xx50 Boro-Parkway Centre xx23
12 xx23 Parkway Centre-Boro xx56
38 xx58 Boro-Glebe xx27
38 xx38 Glebe-Boro xx10
36 xx13 Boro-Hartlepool xx15
36 xx21 Hartlepool-Boro xx25

The third hourly trip on 12/39 (the xx30 12 and xx28 39) remain separate

How much would it cost stagecoach if they wanted to serve Gateshead interchange?

It isn't a massive cost but does mount up. I think someone on this forum got some numbers a few years ago after putting in a FOI request, you might be able to find the post somewhere.

In other news, 22040 and 22044 both noted at Alpha Recovery earlier.

Rather ironically...

Modifications also include new gearboxes too which are mapped to how a Euro 6 should perform..

Same lump that's in the E200MMCs but the heavier MAN chassis must hinder it, resulting in a sluggish ride for maximum fuel efficiency it would seem. I went on 24115 a couple of weeks ago, and it's not exactly lightning fast. Drivers seem to like it as its smoother at least. https://youtu.be/qJO6YqDwRSo?t=110

Ok. What will take their place on the CSC tours. And when does the CSC season even begin this year.

From Stagecoach's point of view there's no CSS - this is why they're on this Seasider service. The tour season would have normally started a few weeks ago.

By any chance would Go North East be running the City Sightseeing Tour with 6000?

As a company, City Sightseeing are not running a tour this year in Newcastle Gateshead. I thought 6000 was just for private hires, being surplus to EY - but if GNE were to have a stab at it commercially I would of expected something up on VOSA by now.
