There was a fair bit of comms to driving staff at Chester-le-Street and Stanley back in 2015 about it (for the Red Kite and Coast & Country batch), but it’s something that we never managed to succeed in doing.

Is it the same with the StreetDecks? I've only ever had the sockets not come on a couple times, although most of them do seem to 'reset' every couple minutes with a bleep coming from under the stairs

Different type of button on the deckers. From memory you need to press this every time to turn the lights on (and the button is illiminated) unlike the Streetlites where the button is a rocker switch and not particularly easy to see whether it’s on or not.
