Any services that changed at the weekend won't be on the app at present - all the data needs to be loaded again.

Few of the Sunderland services don't appear though, they haven't changed... thought the changes to the app would be ready for when they happened.... although it does take a while.

Bit of a naff shot - had intended to catch it coming up by the old town hall, but the bus I caught to Gateshead was 7 minutes late so 5297 arrived at the same time as me...  Undecided

The Fleet News hasn't been updated on Go North East's website yet, but when it does update, the movements will be as follows:

3978 Riverside to Deptford
4916 4917 Riverside to Percy Main
5239 5240 5241 5242 Riverside to Stanley
5293 5294 5295 5296 5297 Stanley to Riverside
542 in service at Riverside
6129 6132 in service at Stanley
5160 withdrawn from Riverside
4952 5165 sold

5239 and 5293 are still both awaiting transfer in reality, and 4917 hasn't yet arrived at Percy Main because it's at Thorntons for DDA modifications. It should go direct to Percy Main on completion, rather than go back to Riverside.

With only 4906 and 4913 to be done at Thorton's... do you know if they'll do the duel door B10's next?

I would imagine that 5167 - 5171 will remain in the fleet and as such will need to receive the appropriate DDA modifications at Thornton's, and some of these will replace older T-reg examples.

Will the modification be the same as the single door B10's?

I think the modifications will be slightly different, as the internal seating layout on the dual-door Volvo B10BLEs is completely different to the native single-door examples.

As discussed previously, one of the main modifications on the native single-door examples is the removal of one tip-up seat and adjustment to the position of the wheelchair headrest (as shown below), but the dual-door examples do not have this seating layout.

Some of the GNE buses with wheelchair spaces have a fold-down cushion on the lower section of the wheelchair backrest - not, apparently, the one shown.

I was thinking this morning that those venture solos really are going to struggle on the metrocentre services, sometimes. I had to let one go from Stanley, this morning, as it was standing room only.

Think I was actually on said bus you let go (service V7) and there was indeed standing room only when it left Stanley Bus Station, a few did get off not far from Stanley Bus Station although there still wasn't that many seats left throughout the remainder of the journey to the Metrocentre.

Similar sort of story on the 30 as well, as we got closer to Stanley there was only two seats left on the bus and two people chose to stand instead.

Obviously it's the first full day of the changes and people are all over the place with these changes, not knowing what bus is going where etc. and the V7 I was on was running around 10 minutes late which probably didn't help matters.

Not too dissimilar in capacity to the Marshall Capitals when they were used in a similar role.

They slowly vanished, to be replaced by the Renowns.

Aye - I was surprised to see it there - we were on the red citaro that arrived at Stanley on the 16A just before 11 - it had taken us ages to get there because the 22 we were on ended up arriving at Durham about 8 minutes late, so we missed the 16.

We hopped on the X31, instead. Littl'un enjoyed that particular ride. He'd spent the journey on the citaro obsessing about the BUTTONS!!!! and setting them off, thankfully while we were sitting at bus stops with the doors open. Blush

Presume you're talking about the four or five LEDs that are lit up? Nothing we can do about that, if so. It has been like that since it came from Brighton and I think a few of you have mentioned it now.

It detracts attention from the terminal point a bit which is irritating but Hanover will be reluctant to repair/replace that entire panel of LEDs for a fault so minor.

Why is 9119 being trialed on the TEN rather than the TTX? I know it might not be down to mechanical issues and more due to evaluation reasons.

9119 needs to go to Percy Main to be "tuned up" whatever that means so it can handle the x9,x10. It far too slow to go on there at the moment and it delays the service. Several drivers complained about driving it. Therefore it being used effectively as a spare bus mainly on 10s as a lot of ten deckers are getting work done on them. It saves putting a red bus on you see. 9119 was also on 327 for Percy Main, its also done a 31, 11/11A and i think a school run aswell. It supposed to go to Percy later this week to go back to X9/X10 but that plan might have changed. They carn't do it at Riverside as too busy.
