RE: Weardale
(06 Oct 2015, 8:34 pm)Jimmi wrote The MAN Meridian's should be used on service 101 Bishop Auckland - Stanhope although one is normally used on the X21 instead on Saturdays.

That's why they don't have them through the week (aside from overloading at runs hour)

For what?

So have Weardale bought it or just on demo its always around this time of year they seem to get demo motors to use.

RE: Weardale
Bit surprised they've got it on demo, i never use any of the Weardale services because i don't live in the area's... but i think a Citaro would look good in the Weardale livery.. although that model is very expensive.... can't remember what the price was though...
Ooo Friend, Bus Friend.

Thanks Michael Smile

Sadly I couldn't really hear what any of the passengers were saying as there was a fair few passengers on-board talking to each other and I was also listening to music on my iPod. I decided to ride it from Bishop Auckland Bus Station to Crook and it seemed quite smooth although can't really comment on performance as the driver was being pretty steady away on this journey. Got one of the MAN / Wright Meridian's back to Bishop.
RE: Weardale
The passengers like the Citaro, mainly because it doesn't rattle like the MAN Meridians do. I was going to say its nice for a Weardale bus to have a proper destination display with ultimate and via points (did Daniel do it ?!), then realised in the photo it's going to Stanhope showing Bishop. The Meridians have a "lazy" blind showing Stanhope (top line) and Bishop Auckland via ASDA (scrolling bottom line) so drivers don't have to bother to change it (a Weardale tradition on most of their vehicles going back years).

We might have to go thieving from Midlands or somewhere

The Hanover destinations were programmed by myself, as I offered my limited skills gained from working at Arriva to Weardale. Not all have been done yet due to some technical issues but I'm pleased you approve!

Wasn't YJ62JWF just a loan, then they bought YJ60GGF sometime afterwards?

Weardale fleet list could do with being updated as some of the Solos have also been re-registered.
