I'm sure there's a logical exlanation somewhere.

Wow, yet more explanation from me...

There's a MAX B7 on PSV tests today, which means it won't be out until after 1000, along with the further one that was VOR yesterday, which may still be VOR.

Is that logical enough? Or would you prefer a couple of knackered buses to be allocated today?

7472 should also be on X20, after finishing at Alnwick last night.

Presumably they knew they would be one down, the day after the launch then?

Now wouldnt that make things a lot easier ? But who wants easy?

Why couldn't they have done the PSV tests before the launch when the allocation of them to the X20 didn't really matter? To launch the service as MAX and then have normal spec buses on the next day really doesn't look good.

Of course, you will know why they didn't do the above since you get told everything Ashington depot.

When buses come into fleet into depot - they take the MOT dates of whichever bus they're replacing. This can sometimes see new vehicles being MOT'd a month or so after they've arrived.

I believe 2 more ex 21A Scanias are still in refurbishment for the X75/X76 though one of them has entered service confirmed on NEB.

You'd have thought that the MOT history and dates appertaining to a vehicle would stay with it for its lifespan. I may be wrong?

PSV, MOTs whatever you call it cost money. Why test two buses when one will be withdrawn anyway? It's probably easier for the people who do the tests, that they don't have their schedules clogged up...

There seems to be quite a few remarks coming from you recently, Cock Robin, like you're trying to be clever. I thought the forum got over the snide remarks...obviously not. Probably how we don't see many bus staff on these forums.

Yeah I do believe we're very short on scanias at the minute, by all accounts when I was talking to a driver the other day

4654 is looking very sorry for it's self in the garage

4647 is in pieces

4658 is away for refurbishment

And then if anything breaks down then there isn't really a replacement, as the spare are 4643/4/50 so if there's more than three off the road it's going to throw up rare workings

You're the one who's trying to be clever. And not just with me either. You're talking out your a*se. Why test a bus if its only been tested a month before just cos that's the date the bus that's withdrawn was due for test? So if you then transfer it to another depot do you change the date and do it early again. Waste of money when there's other things they could be spending it on.
