From the GNE FB page:

Go North East
Due to an incident at Blackett Street in Newcastle, services are diverting via St Mary's Place.

Not sure if stagecoach run that way but a heads up!

I'm sure the rear of ALX300s don't usually have that little vent/grille thing (forgive me, I haven't got a clue what the name is), so can't just put it down to it being a replacement part.

A large number of Slatyfords 03/53s have extra grills now too. Although in the style of the ones on the back of the Tridents.

Man in his 40s hit by a decker, injuries not life threatening, road was closed for an hour.

Latest orders I've seen that's right. No confirmed regs though (except VUT and VUU of course), so that will be a nice surprise for now! In true ADL fashion a week ahead of schedule too.

The fact that they look like they have been built by ADL and not Plaxton is probably a contributing factor.

He may, he does take some photos of other operators but keeps them separate to his main account.

No, but there are some ridiculous adverts claiming that NEXUS plans will lead to council tax increase and another one suggesting it will harm investment, which is utterly hilarious since there has been zero investment in Newcastle since 2011.

Sunderland 22673 has just been taken out of service by an engineer and 22494 is its replacement. Reason unknown.

EDIT:22487 is looking rather shiny today. May have been repainted if we haven't already noted it.

Yes, but look at the Newcastle fleet - the oldest of the Enviro 400s are 5 years old, the Enviro 400Hs are 2 years old, the oldest Enviro 200s are 4 years old and the Enviro 300s are 8 years old. Yes, some of the MAN 18.220s are older, but they are still in fit shape to be used.

The last set of new buses Sunderland had before these new 38 buses was 2009.

Stockton is getting 5 new buses to (is it 5 can't remember)
Bet Newcastle get a new delivery later in the year or early next year

Defiantly - In the next year or so i bet all their fleet will be at least Enviro (exclude the Gas buses), think all the MAN's and Darts will be soon

Stockton aren't getting 5 new buses (sadly, given the depot is in desperate need of investment), those 5 'newer' buses are the remaining Tridents.

As for Newcastle, people needs to remember that those depots were heavily invested in between 2003 and 2011, compared to other depots (Stockton received just 22 buses in the same period, the least of any depot).
