Thanks.

Not too sure on specific problems on the TEN, but the service's Next Stop Announcements are due to be launched again soon. They will be brought into the current format, with the TFT monitor showing a 'line plan' of the next stops, and voiced by Emma Hignett (like all of the new buses and re-launched Washington services).

But not clear whether they're serving the cannon or not?

Works are only ever temporary, and to be honest, the X21 reliability has been spot on since the change. It does now have an extra bus on the road during the day, compared to what the Pronto had.

Yes, I have noticed it has certainly improved.  When the roadworks along Durham Road are finished it should not be so much of an issue because there will be more bus lanes around the Low Fell area.

From a brief look over the Facebook page, the X21 is rarely mentioned. The 21 takes a hammering but perhaps the upcoming changes might help. Doubtful though.

The upcoming service changes should make the timetable more achievable, given that it'll save a few minutes up the Front Street and then back down, with the layover instead taking place at the Red Lion.

There will also be an extra bus added to the cycle on Sundays.

If it was serving The Cannon during the diversion, then it seems daft sending it all the way up to Wrekenton and back down. Particularly for the sake of one stop.
I may have been quicker sitting in traffic.

(02 Apr 2016, 11:26 am)Cock Robin wrote Noticed 6048 front screen not working again yesterday.

It's probably a case of the destination controller being on "idle", as there have been quite a large number of reports of destinations not working on 6043 - 6048 as of late, and it's not been possible for me to replicate these issues.

The Volvo B9s are on the same "profile" within the destination controller as the "Quaylink" branded Optare Versas, as they have the same combination of destinations (144x19 colour route number, 96x8, 32x17). The option to allow remote configuration needs to be enabled on this profile to allow the destination to be automatically changed around the route with no input from the driver on the "Quaylink" Q1, Q2 and Q3 services. The downside to this is that the destination controller goes back to "idle" mode every time the ignition is switched off - if the driver forgets to input his/her destination again, then the destination displays will be blank.
