I think the PVR is:

74: 1
185/681/X81: 1
680: 1
682: 1
683: 1
686/687: 2(?)
688: 1

Hopefully this time, they design it so it doesn't look like its called.... "Cats Fast"!.

Can't say I've ever read it like that. You read from left to right not right to left  Tongue

Scrap the branding on X35/X36, and use red GNE buses.  Services that only run every 30 mins on Mon-Sat daytimes don't warrant branding.  Only services that should be branded are those that run all day and on Sunday.

Exceptions could be made for services that provide competition, ie 18, X84/85 and services that provide a network, ie Indigo or Tynedale Links.

Lambton Worm & Fast Cats should be placed in the same bin as Kingfisher & The Pulse.

Ah - but you also read top to bottom!

I personally think it looks like Cats Fast too.

So X7 Wear Tees Xpress branding should be scrapped then??

No, as it provides competition to Arriva services, as well compliments TTX.

Then surely X35 provides competition between Sunderland Peterlee and hartlepool. I do agree that X36 doesn't warrant branding due to the low frequency and the fact it stops around 6ish.

Wasnt there something along the lines of if a route/network has a PVR less than 4 then they won't get branding...

The only reason the X36 was branded was because it inter worked with X35 before the X36 was changed.

I would keep the X36 branded but that's just me.

When the Pulse was scrapped,  i think it was said that only services with frequency of at least 20 mins or a high pvr would be branded.

Red GNE scania solars could be used on 33/39/X35 using Black Cats brand, that was destined for Cadets.  This would allow Doxford services to be consistant.

The 33 won't be going to Doxford Park from 22nd May, it'll terminate at Silksworth, 33A looks to be dropped.

39 should be the only service branded "Black Cats" but theres also a new 39A ... Not sure on the route, a few people have suggested this could be the NEXUS funded runs renumbered to 39A.

Could get the 80 to Middle Engine Lane next to Smyths and get the 40 into Wallsend from opposite the Jolly Bowman so that is only once into Wallsend. Not much other way you could do it really unless you just got the 80 back to North Shields.

Its quite hard to avoid Wallsend on the North Tyne Indigos, Because that's the Hub of them! I could think of a route if it involved changing in Wallsend twice.

Yeah unless you just got the 80 to howdon or somewhere and went back to North Shields. They are boring routes anyway so if you want indigos may as well just go over to East Durham as it's much more varied there and they are both more or less the same.

I think it runs Monday - Friday only. If you want a photograph of it, the hospital will be your best bet.

Daytime 701 allocated diesel Connect 628. Night time is a Hybrid.

If 628 is unavailable, an MPD.

Wonder if there's a chance of the 701 running all day when the renewal of the contract comes up, which should be next year.

I agree. But does look a bit plain. I wonder if the loops are going to be different colours like the previous version...
