(17 Apr 2016, 9:12 am)ODan wrote Yes, I uploaded the new-style media to the majority of the Hybrids last night. The main purpose of the new-style screens being implemented on the 21 was to add the media for the evening operation of service X21 via New Elvet (which is voiced by Emma), and this is why Emma hasn't voiced the Angel yet.
The volumes were also set to be the same on each bus, and faults with speakers and screens noted for repair. Likewise the volume on the Coast & Country Streetlites were set to be the same on each bus, as a number had been turned down.
All of the Streetlites at Stanley bar one have been updated - services 45, 45E, 46, 47 and 128 (including all route variations) have been programmed. These are all voiced by Emma.
(16 Apr 2016, 6:48 pm)Jamie M wrote Does this mean on sundays there may be a double decker '15 reg on X71?
(17 Apr 2016, 9:26 am)Dan wrote No. Most of the scheduled 'wrong brand' allocations have now been done away with, as part of these service changes.
Sunday daytime allocations are as follows:
- 6 / X30 - OmniDekka
- 16/16A - Durham Diamond Mercedes Citaro
- 45/46 - Streetlite (some boards also work service 47)
- 47 - Volvo B9TL
- X71 - 5419 and a red Mercedes Citaro
- V7/V8, 15, 16 - Solo SR.

This clearly deserves its own thread, Somesort of public holiday, a parade and balloons.
Out of interest have any of the stops been renamed? Particularly the Birtley Coach and Horrses quirk
(17 Apr 2016, 9:32 am)S813 FVK wrote Just out of interest, what has happened to the evening 6 journeys that used the C&C Streetlites? Does it just use the Durham Diamond Citaros?
(17 Apr 2016, 9:34 am)Dan wrote Most, if not all, journeys use the "Northern" branded OmniDekkas. 95% of journeys will be operated by the correct brand now.
(17 Apr 2016, 9:35 am)Michael wrote What will the C&C use as a back up vehicle when 5401 not available, now all the Streetlites are based at Chester?
Dan i bet you'll have fun updating all of the GNE fleet list on here
(17 Apr 2016, 9:51 am)Dan wrote Prior to the service changes, Stanley covered a PVR of 16 with one spare Streetlite. Likewise Chester, a PVR of 7 with one spare Streetlite.
It's evened out a bit more now, under the service changes. Stanley are now covering a PVR of 14 with one spare Streetlite. Likewise Chester, a PVR of 13 with one spare Streetlite. On paper, it should reduce the chances of any vehicle besides a Streetlite being allocated to the Red Kite group of services. Downside of course is that the Coast & Country may throw up more vehicles besides a Streetlite.
I would anticipate that if 5401 is unavailable (or has already been allocated), Chester-le-Street would allocate whichever bus is spare out of 4934, 5201 or 5202, as these all have Wi-Fi for the Ushaw College service.
(17 Apr 2016, 9:41 am)S813 FVK wrote Nothing wrong with that. Infact, it can be argued with being better with the correctly branded vehicle being allocated.
Completely moving topic (relates to the Omnidekkas since this happens to them so much), I hope the Red Kite B9s aren't swapped with an MPD or something similar for scholars nearly as much as the Omnidekkas are, as much as I want them to be. Especially as 5419 may be allocated already on a more regular basis with a higher PVR.
(17 Apr 2016, 10:04 am)Dan wrote You'll find that the OmniDekkas will be appearing on scholars a lot more now, as a result of the service changes:
The red 'spare' OmniCity is now only spare between 11:38 and 15:00, when it is parked up in Stanley Bus Station. It is allocated to a number of daytime boards on service X30 now, as well as scholars service 836 AM and PM.
- The PM 808 service from Consett Academy to Castleside Church will be operated by a "Northern" branded OmniDekka (same bus which works the 1335 #6 from Newcastle to Stanley)
- The AM 829 service to St Bedes will be operated by a "Northern" branded OmniDekka (same bus which works the 0852 #X70 from Consett to Newcastle)
- The PM 820 service from St Bedes will be operated by a "Northern" branded OmniDekka (same bus which works the 1355 #X71 from Newcastle to Consett, then the 1603 #X70 from Consett to Newcastle)
- The AM 820 service to St Bedes will be operated by a "Northern" branded OmniDekka (same bus which works the 0853 #6 from Stanley to Newcastle).
(17 Apr 2016, 9:57 am)Michael wrote Thanks for the info Dan.
Apart from the buses we know what were moving around, has any corporate livery buses moved to (exact for 4935, which is part of the South Tyne PVR, and the Wright Eclipses)?

- The loss of service 5 has resulted in the transfer of Volvo B7RLEs 4978 - 4982 to Percy Main.
- The loss of service 47 has resulted in the transfer of Volvo B9TLs 6118 - 6121 to Stanley.
- The gain of services 88/88A has resulted in the transfer of Scania L94 4935 and Optare Versas 8294 - 8301 from Washington.
Chester-le-Street
- The loss of service 50 has resulted in the transfer of Scania OmniCitys 5255 - 5260 to Washington.

- Scania OmniCitys 5243 - 5247 have transferred to Washington, and have been replaced by corporate liveried Volvo B7RLEs 4978 - 4982 from Riverside. I've not heard anything about these being branded for the 19 service.
(17 Apr 2016, 10:09 am)S813 FVK wrote Still the usual Olympians for me then. As much as I like them, they really do get boring after a while as, with there only been five, it is likely that you end up with the same one on more than 1 day during the week. Rather coincidentally, it was only yesterday that I mentioned that 3832 was allocated to my scholars 3 times last week with 3814 and 3822 making up the other 2 days. 6128 was the Monday PM vehicle as opposed to 3822, though so there was a bit of variety there.

(17 Apr 2016, 10:14 am)Michael wrote Surprised a few other corporate buses haven't moved around, seems GNE have worked the transfers out well.
(17 Apr 2016, 10:17 am)Dan wrote The one you'll need to look out for now is the 819 service!
Scheduled to be a Plaxton President bodied Dennis Trident, this board will cover the PM X78 service as well as the 17:05 #45 service from Newcastle to Consett, in addition to the St Bedes 819 scholars service.
I think this is the journey DaveyBowyer identified as being an anomaly, when he went through the timetable a few weeks ago. It is to my knowledge the only journey on the Red Kite group of services, excluding the Sunday morning 47 service which runs via Clasper Village and is operated by Riverside, which is scheduled to be a 'wrong brand' (or at least a vehicle which isn't to the usual specification of the "Red Kite" branded vehicles).
(17 Apr 2016, 10:29 am)Dan wrote There was no need for corporate liveried vehicles to transfer between depots, if I'm honest. There's been like for like replacements at every depots, in accordance with the services which have been gained and lost. I couldn't understand the discussion regarding 5248/49 at Percy Main transferring to other depots when they're still required at Percy Main for service 9.
There are a number of transfers still pending out of those that I have mentioned. Most transfers took place between 20:00 and 01:00 last night, but a number of buses were VOR and unable to transfer.
- 4978 - 4982 are still at Riverside, though are scheduled to be transferred this morning.
- 5244 is VOR at Percy Main
- 5258 is VOR at Chester-le-Street
- 6121 is VOR for PSV at Riverside
- 8295 is VOR at DiagTest
