And then Tom mentioned the "Red Scania's" will be for the 17.

Drivers shouldn't be leaving a timing point any more than one minute early.

If a driver has departed a timing point over one minute early, this falls outside of the traffic commissioner's window of being 'on-time'.

That doesn't explain the bus I missed the other week because it was 5 minutes early, then - it was the stop after a timing point and when it pulled up at our stop, long before we had any hope of getting there, the app confirmed that it was running early.

These stories are getting better and better. I really wouldn't believe everything you hear. It sounds more of a case that some are disgruntled about not getting the same power as they have with a Solar, so you can't race them around like a man possessed.

Which is odd, really, as, like us, Marcus noticed that they had to make use of a lot of the timing points to avoid getting ahead of schedule.

We did hear of/see a breakdown, yesterday (5433), but apparently that moved on not too long after it was reported. I expect there's a lot of "oh 'eck, what's this light for?"

My last trip on a 49xx purple Solar a week or two ago, involved a gearbox warning light appearing on the dash. No idea if the restart fixed the issue or not.
A breakdown on one of those would have been a fitting end!

Only 5422, 5426, 5427 are currently not allocated to Deptfords as they are still are at SM, no others have arrived yet however like Dan said, more will be withdrawn when the Streetlites enter service.

With upcoming changes:

2 B10's from the 99 should be withdrawn after the last bus on Saturday
3 B10's currently allocated to the 33/33A will withdrawn, as the 33 will be ran by MPD's from Monday 23rd May, as confirmed by Dan.

4 Versa's are also coming spare, I'm wondering if they will be kept at Deptford for the time being to replace more B10's, then if they are moving away from Deptford they'll move to where ever and if 5422, 5426, 5426 all enter service by Saturday then all the remaining B10's (9) and Cadets (2) could be withdrawn next Sunday...

So you could be right Biglugs.

Edit:

Also we don't know how far 5422, 5426, 5427 are away from entering service, they could enter tomorrow, they could enter service next week.

Every single "SimpliCity" branded Optare Versa at Deptford has gained the 'every 15 minutes' vinyls as a replacement for the current 'every 10 minutes'.

This would suggest that the four released from the 2/2A will be allocated to another route at Deptford which operates at a 15-minute frequency.

What other routes are every 15 minutes though? I was thinking the 39 with the Lambton Worm versas but you already said it would be allocated Solars. Can't think of any other route that's every 15 minutes and requires 4 buses.

Only other service every 15 minutes is the 700 but i doubt they would lose the Hybrids and the "Sunderland Connect" brand especially when its funded by a few companies.

As Tom, said the PVR for the 39 is 7 so 3 more would needed and i don't see them coming off the 34/34A.

I think everything is fine as it is - what do you reckon could be changed? The 17 maybe could be changed as the reliability is a bit crap, but the 1, 309/310 etc. all seem to be running fine as they are.

Not sure on the brand name yet or if they'll be the Blue or Red ones which will be allocated to the 39.
