The younger generation wouldn't remember it, and it wouldn't of been in the TWPTE guides neither, and the timetable for service 1 wasn't in the busways yellow format timetable. It was in a single sheet of paper.

Same time service X14 was withdrawn and replaced with new service 139/140 with using the same route of old service X14 between moorside and Sunderland bus station.

(05 Jun 2016, 6:45 pm)MurdnunoC wrote I think the 10 (or 110) must have replaced it at some point too.
The route went (from Toward Road) via Villette Road, Ryhope Road, The Cedars, Ashbroke Range, Queen Alexandra Road, Sea View Road West, Hill View Road, Hereford Road, Westheath Avenue, Woodstock Avenue and Leechmere Road.
That seems similar to the route the 10 operates (or operated) now.

Any idea if it was the 1 you were referring to?
(06 Jun 2016, 7:53 am)cbma06 wrote In those days number blinds used to get broken etc... , the picture of the favourite bus would of terminated at Sunderland and the driver scrolled either the 3 or 4 number blind to blank on going back to depot, this was standard in the busways era

Either way, he isn't going to get very far with that Mini Metro parked in the way!

I'm currently on the 18, going to be weird going up Grindon Lane towards the Grindon Mill....hasn't been a bus up that way for over 10 years....
It seems the 18 doesn't serve Grindon shops now, Gartland road, it comes out from Tay road and turns on to Gleneagles Road.
Talk about a mystery tour...

(28 May 2016, 12:52 pm)Kuyoyo wrote 14 will be dropping the Trimdon Avenue Shops to West Lane duplicate (which is no longer needed anyway) which runs off the 202.
39 will be in someway linked to the extra fifth bus during the week currently being a decker off schools which will need a working revision before September.

Service 39 (no timetable as of yet): Revised timetable, reported to mainly be with the afternoon peak (nothing yet regarding the daytime workings with the fifth vehicle currently being a school decker).
(26 Jul 2016, 9:45 am)Kuyoyo wrote More information now available, although still no new timetable online:
The every 9 minutes frequency now until 1420 (presently ends 1353) then drops to every 10 minutes until 1700 (and each bus gets 10 minutes in the bus station at this point). Between 1700 and 1800, the frequency drops to every 12 (presently every 11 from 1400). There's then departures at 1820 and 1835 before reverting to current timings.
