26063 is also out.
Saw 26064 this morning looking smart under darkness. Such a dire time of year to attempt decent photos in full sun - is it spring yet...

What is likely to be 27507 (hard to see the number from a moving car over the length) is parked in the main shed at Stockton.

Please no haha although, it depends on if the proposed changes go ahead, if not, they may need them, would be better to Sunderland to gain them so they have 1 full allocation and spares of the same bus.

Not sure what the PVR of the X24 will be, i'll say it'll take around 60 minutes, on the proposed half hourly frequency with a PVR of 4 - 2 spares...

But ye i agree, X24.

May I just point out now (before I take my nightcap - Christmas run-up working for a Parcel company means no time for anything but work and sleep) but the vehicles in question are Omnilink not City. This means they are basically the Euro4 version of the Solars used by Go North East, just longer and with Scania's own bodywork (same as the one Go North East had on demonstration a number of years back).

They also have leather-trimmed coach seats - so if they are staying, the X24 is looking a good bet (even if they might be a bit over-sized initially).

Any idea if they'll need to replace any of the seating etc?

Hopefully they brand the X24, if they stay, give it WIFI too

End-to-end time seemed very tight on last hearing, but they haven't released the timetable yet so won't say anything on that one! PVR I'm not sure of either. I was going on two on the back of timing suggestion. Two and one spare may fit for these three - but one spare is a bit drastic given the type of vehicle which could easily be substituted with an Enviro.

I'm very surprised they've took them on, they are very thirsty, which was one of the reasons for their replacement - and for being pretty tired. The new MD obviously wanting more of his native Scottish vehicles, but all variety at the end of the day.

Suggestion from a driver who has put a photo on his Facebook says the X24.

I would have suggested use for the 100, but obviously replacements have been sourced already.
They have quite a big capacity for a brand new service, that has no guarantees of success.

Forgot to mention, 24004 is the odd one with Bluebird in JET livery - not with East Scotland.

24002 and 24003 have been noted, assume 24001 is the third.

I've thought for a few years that they would be good on the 100s. If the X24 doesn't work then I can imagine it'll be difficult to offload the Scania to the Group, as it already has been! X24 has been underdevelopment for a couple of years I gather, so fingers crossed...

Could always put them on Newcastle Express routes. Be interesting if any others of the batch follow I suppose...

The X24 was proposed to be half hourly, so defo more than 2 PVR.

I would say 4 with 2 spares.
