Freed up as a result of a PVR reduction, former 'indigo' branded Volvo B7RLE Wright Eclipse 718 (FJ58 KKM) has been repainted into a two-tone base livery prior to gaining 'Ilkeston Flyer' branding, replacing the current Scania L94UB Wright Solar allocation. It will be joined by 719 and 720 and are expected to enter service next month: https://www.flickr.com/photos/guy_arab_u...ateposted/
The entry into service of these Volvo B7RLEs will also see the service fully operated by Trent Barton, as opposed to being jointly operated with sister Wellglade company Notts & Derby. Notts & Derby will instead operate new services 12 and 12A which will replace the zoom service which is to be axed in February and also the current X17.

It has been confirmed on 'Trentbarton Enthusiast Page' that the Rushcliffe Mainline and Skylink Nottingham will be receiving brand new 11.8m Enviro 200MMCs replacing the Optare Tempos and Scania L94UBs currently operating on those routes.
The Allestree is also another route in line to get E200MMCS, the shorter variation as seen on 'the nines' although this is yet to be officially confirmed.

And as mentioned in this month's 'BUSES' magazine:
- The 9 Rushcliffe Mainline examples are the first due, in July
- The 11 examples for Skylink are due in September
- The 5 short examples for the Allestree are due after those
- A further 3 new buses are due this year - more Euro6 Citaros for Kinchbus to join the present examples on Skylink
- After a long time in storage, formerly Mickleover B7RLE 728-35 are being refurbished for Keyworth Connection and Cotgrave Connection which will both be rebranded as 'The Keyworth' and 'The Cotgrave'
- All the original style Tempos are to be removed from service - currently nothing mentioned about their replacement on the 21

There is at least one 'the Keyworth' and 'the Cotgrave' vehicle refurbished and branded, but only a full picture of 'the Keyworth' livery has found its way online:

Spotted two Trent Barton E200s MMCs on delivery today - on the M1 southbound near Chesterfield. Couldn't ID but their ownership was given away by their 'Derby FAST' (red arrow) destination screens. Weren't actually going anywhere fast at the time - forlorn in the hard shoulder.

Further details:
- Two additional E200MMCs have been delivered and already entered service at Nottingham - they are 109/10 (YX17 NTK/L) in the new 'Mango' spare livery.
- The 'Mainline' example launched yesterday in Bingham and are 111 (YX17 NTJ) and 112-9 (YX67 UXR/S/T/U/?/V/Y/Z) (registrations of 112-9 are mainly tbc), these entered service today. The reason for the registrations mix with 109-11 is that what is now 111 should have been 109 (as it is body number /01) but the incorrect interior was fitted during build.
- The replacements for Tempos 317/8 on the 21 are former 'The Nines' Solos including 469/70/1. Two examples, currently said to be 478/9 (FJ09 MWD/E), are to be refurbished and repainted to move to Kinchbus to replace Solos 458/9 (FE02 KFF/G). 479, along with 472 (FJ09 MVW), are on-loan to TM Travel to cover 'Spiria' branded Centros which have proved to be unreliable. 491 (YJ11 EKT) is now branded 'Little Sixes' to replace 466 (FG02 BGO) at the Matlock outstation.
- Following reductions on 'Rushcliffe Villager' services, Solo SR 501-3 (YD63 VDL/M/N) are due to be re-branded for 'Spondon Flyer' which will reduced to one route around Spondon at the end of October (the current Green route). Versa 806-9 (YJ11 ENL/M/N/O) will become spares
- Former 'Cotgrave Connection' Scanias 620-2 (FJ03 VWK/L/R) have moved to the Notts & Derby fleet at Derby depot. Similar Kinchbus Scania 639 (FD53 WWL) has been withdrawn following an accident and is now with TM Travel for spares.

High Peak
The first of the two Versas transferring from Centrebus is on show at Showbus. 780 (YJ62 FPK) is in the same two-tone green used on TransPeak for 'Peaks & Dales' 65 between Buxton and Sheffield which High Peak will take over full-time from half-sister company TM Travel at the end of October.

Which, despite being from July this year, is out of date.
A better option (which is usually updated quite regularly) is Sheffield Omnibus' version

Had a ride of one or two out of this batch yesterday - they were pretty quick off the mark, and I liked the sunroof. Quite light and airy inside - apt for a service branded "Skylink"! The visual TFT monitor didn't seem to work, but the audio announcements did.
I noticed the same issue with the announcements on the green examples branded for mainline.

BIB: According to reports (and my own use of 'The Nines' examples a few weeks ago), none of the TFT monitors on the E200s work and they are waiting for that to be sorted.

RE: East Midlands Bus Operations
A large number of major changes are taking place in North Derbyshire at the end of the month:
As already mentioned, the 65 (Buxton-Sheffield) - presently jointly operated by TM Travel and High Peak - will pass to High Peak, resulting in the withdrawal of the present late departure from Buxton (1900) but the addition of a later weekday departure from Sheffield (1915, presently last departure is 1730)
Hulleys will take over operation of the 66 from G&J Holmes. The service is reduced to operate between Baslow and Tidewell or Buxton (only two journeys a day operate to Buxton and 3 departures from Buxton). The 66A varation is also revised - the weekday journeys from Baslow at 1435 continues from Tidewell to Castleton while the weekday morning journey in the opposite direction starts from Castleton at 0845.
These two journeys replaces the once-a-day service 68 which sees the end of a Castleton to Buxton through bus.
