(30 Oct 2017, 6:23 am)Dan Correct guess!Percy main had 636 last winter for the 19
635 was used as the spare for Winlaton Shuttle Bus - this has now finished, and it has hence been released for cascade to Peterlee.
636 has been used on the 680S Brunton Crossroads shuttle bus - whilst this is still ongoing, it will be replaced in the fleet at Hexham temporarily by a demonstrator minibus, which should arrive early this week.
This releases 707 and 708 to join 706 at Stanley - as noted before, two of these to be allocated to Cathedral Bus, and the other to Tesco Free Bus. Doesn't really matter which one is allocated to which.

(30 Oct 2017, 4:21 pm)Dan I believe a Leading Driver went out to update both buses, after the scholars peak this morning.

(30 Oct 2017, 6:09 pm)S813 FVK 708 whizzed past me this morning on its way to Durham and the lack of a tagline made the livery look rather bare. Hopefully the tagline is added when the Toon Links (and relevant spares) gain their WiFi blobs which hopefully shouldn't be too far away dependant on availability.

(30 Oct 2017, 6:14 pm)Dan They'll probably sort them out on a Sunday in the not too distant future. It'll also see the application of the new slogan "Journeys taken care of" on the "Toon Link" branded buses, too.
The Wi-Fi feature symbols will probably look a little bit naff on the front of the OmniCitys - due to a lack of space either side of the front destination, they've been scaled down a bit!

(30 Oct 2017, 6:24 pm)S813 FVK Not happy with the positioning of them on the Coasters? Suppose they are on one of the more vulnerable panels but they would certainly stand out against the black. Can picture it looking a bit yuk though.
Wish they would replace the WiFi blobs on the Red Kite B9TLs too - far too small and the side ones may aswell not be there!

(30 Oct 2017, 6:29 pm)Dan Well, the ones which are left on the Coasters!
But yes; for the reason you state, moving away from that placement on an OmniCity, and going back to the standard placement for consistency with other buses in the fleet (even if the size will be inconsistent!)

(30 Oct 2017, 6:14 pm)Dan It wasn't done at Peterlee as it's a bit out of the way and harder to access.
(30 Oct 2017, 7:11 pm)S813 FVK The contract will last for 5 years.
It's a shame that the buses no longer seem to be branded for the service. Something for the council to think about in the future?
