Until around 2007 the Peterlee network had been resonably stable for a long time. From what I remember the operated:

One main service group was all Arriva services into Hartlepool except the 33, which was a Bishop route - i.e:

22 Durham - Wingate - Hartlepool
230 Hartlepool - Horden - Sunderland
242 Hartlepool - Peterlee - Durham (Plus evening & Sunday variation 243)

Another group was the 212/3/4/5 from Sunderland to (in various revisions) Middlesbrough, Darlington, Thornley, Deaf Hill & Thornaby.

Whilst I remember those two groups being the main work of the depot there was also miscellaneous work such as the X27 to the Metrocentre, 246 Hutton Henry circular & 239 evening Easington - Sedgefield.

Peterlee town services were operated by Jayline, which became Go North East Jayline/East Durham/Indigo.

Peterlee depot survived long enough to see the network recast as the 21/22/23/24/25 group of services as well as briefly operating tendered service 3A in Hartlepool and recive new Solos shortly before closing with the work transferred to Belmont.

Others may remember more than me.

From next week the X93 between Whitby and Scarborough becomes every 20 minutes during the day. The summer timetable takes 3 extra buses over the winter timetable. Looking at the ''super summer'' timetable [22nd July to 1st September] looks like 2 further buses leaving Middlesbrough and returning on an evening?

Does anyone know what these extra buses will be? Any spare Temsas?  Thanks.

1759 and 4516 have gone from Reserve to Main Fleet but 1759 is off the road!

Also the 26 and 27.
And 216.

I wouldn’t call it stable as the 215 operated by 2 buses which usually only 1 bus operated every 2 hours instead of hourly due to vehicle off the road and missing oakerside out which you get a service every 3 hours through oakerside, when there were 2 buses allocated to the 216 and one was off the road then the service only did deaf hill to Peterlee only and not the Sunderland section, I’m sure just before leading up to the closure of Peterlee depot that there had all the crap left out from other depots lol, can’t remember how many free tickets that I’ve received from Arriva through the post from buses that don’t turn up at the bus stop and having to get taxis.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong... I think there is 9 boards over this enhanced summer timetable if I have worked things out correctly from looking at the timetable, so if my hunch is correct, that *should* mean the B9s and B7s will be allocated and no doubt the Temsa's will pop up frequently as stand ins although probably end up on there daily especially as 7402 has been confined to the 62 recently.

Originally service 239 was a daytime service aswell and originally the service used to start from Middlesbrough but the boro to sedgefield section got axed, there was a 246 and 247 , 247 went similar route but went to Hartlepool, a lot of the old routes were axed and streamlined to what we know now

I thought 5 in winter, 3 extra for summer, then 2 more. But that's what i'm trying to work out.

Yep that's right 5 starting and finishing in Whitby that run all year round, 3 starting and finishing in Middlesbrough that run March-November (according to the new timetables on the Arriva site they're starting later on 14th April next year) and now an additional 2 starting and finishing in Middlesbrough running July-September.

And then of course there's the 09:20 journey from Scarborough to Whitby that runs onto the P1/2. Is there a reason this journey doesn't run to Scarborough in service, for example they could have had an 08:06 journey from Whitby??

According to a comment on one of my photos on Flickr, fire-damaged Volvo B7TL 7412 has now returned to Ashington following completion of repairs.

That would be only one bus extra to previous summers then? Used to be 6 Whitby and 2 Redcar.

7416 an extra bus to help out over the summer due to high VOR at Belmont. Will be required from September due to PVR increase.

Saw a diverted Arriva bus in Whitby last week, a school service which I never knew existed, to Ugthorpe . Cant remember the service number but must be students only.

It interworks with the 95, hence why one journey from Lealholme is Saturday only. It used to be allocated the old Enviro 200 from Coastal and Country.

Stockton's Frequenta pulsars are on the Sapphire streetlite 5/5a services. According to a notice I saw today on the 5, this is to ''assess the reliability of this type of bus on this route'' [can't remember the exact wording]. On a route with plenty of hills, they are much much better!
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - July 2018
Redcar's 5 X93s yesterday on the first day of the increased frequency were 4713, 7402, 7424, 7425, 7426. Today 4726, 7405, 7424, 7425, 7426.

First 'Guided Tour' from Guisborough yesterday was 7401.

Darlington almost currently have a full set of drivers, it’s not as bad as before where as Durham is, heard a Darlington driver say that there was 14 drivers on the sick at Durham the other day

Considering it's one of the next vehicles to leave the fleet, HIGHLY unlikely it will receive new colours.
